I understand you're worried about making something OP, but that new staff just won't cut it lol.


If they just double the staff's max hit from 17-22 to 34-44 and increase the casting speed by 2 ticks, it would be significantly more useful, while still having a lower max hit than a whip.

Indeed, plus you can't use it in the wilderness. you don't have to be afraid of raggers then.

Agreed with the other poster up there, all these new items/resources are fine but the bank is still way too far away and could make all of this pointless. There needs to be some method of noting dragon bones, hides, ore, fish, logs, etc in the wild or skillers just won't bother because there are places quicker to a bank. Kind of disappointing there is nothing about this in the blog.

The only thing that's notable is the ents and chest but what about the other things? Noone is going to bother with those if you have to take a 5 minute bank break constantly

3. With your new resource area, there is no incentive for anyone to use it but miners. Magic logs are a mere 1k each, and generally close to banks. Unless this place allows for faster cutting of noted magic logs or something to that effect, there will be no point in anyone cutting them here. Bear in mind that magic logs' prices are fixed by alch value, so increasing their supply won't hurt anyone.

Hmm, maybe not have all of the logs noted, but possibly 1/10 or 1/5 chance of cutting a noted log? Or of course the faster cutting speed works.

Well the problem is basically that you can easily cut magic logs in a safe area with little competition and be about 30 seconds from a bank. Even if it was possible to bank logs directly from the new resource area, it wouldn't be worth using, so a way to obtain magic logs faster here would be needed.

I think most of the ideas are pretty great. However there are a few things I have problems with.

First of all I strongly disagree with THE LOOKS of the new shields (no problems with the bonuses they provide). You shouldn't just take existing content and give it a new colour, I'd very much prefer waiting for those shields until you find a decent 'pixel artist' to make something a bit more inventive.

Second, The kraken with the 87 slayer requirement seems like a good idea. BUT the staff if (this is how I understand it, correct me if i'm wrong) 1 charge = 1 spell cast, then it's abt 800gp per cast.. This staff is barely better than a slayer staff which costs 1/4th of that. Also on 80 mage we can cast a spell that hits 30s for the same maybe even less money. Surely I misunderstood something cause this seems ridiculous.. feel free to explain this to me.

That new staff looks kind of worthless, a cost of 3 death and 2 chaos? With a max of 22 at 99 mage? No one is going to use it.

Make it like Polypore staff with damage scaling. Your max damage with every possible boost should be 43-44.

There are teleports right by most of the resources. You can get to almost any resource in about 10 seconds.

No you can't

The fastest way is running to a portal then hoping you get lucky, but even that still requires alot of running to the bank & then you have to repeat that to get back to your spot. It's just going to be too long and not worth it at all.

Go try it now with the lobster fishing spot in the wild and let me know how many lobsters you fish in an hour, then do the same at catherby and tell me. I bet the difference will be at least 5x.
