I am confused as to why you guys are so concerned on the activity in the wilderness and revamping it so crazily. Half of these ideas are good, meaning half of these bad ideas will have to be voted on ina whole because of the grouping, but with PvP worlds drawing pkers out of the wilderness what's the point? It's counteractive to say the least. You took 90% of the players out of the real wilderness by adding these fail PvP worlds. It just seems like your team wants to put out too many new ideas. Slow it down and think about it, you're dividing the community. Can I get a response for once since you want to hear everyone's concerns and questions. Do you know how hard it is to find a fight in the "real wilderness"? And when I go to PvP worlds I have "Extreme Rags" or "Perm Rags" smiting me with a crystal bow instantly. This is becoming very Troll-Friendly, Jagex. Please a response. I've played from 04-08, and left when the combat system was changing. I'm an oldschool player only and came back strictly for the Oldschool. Where's the respect for the real oldschool players, all this stuff is pre-eoc and rs3 friendly. What is going on? haha

You really need to limit this to 10 worlds or so, or get rid of about half the worlds, if you only remove 10 and have this new wildy in every world, the activity will be much too spread out and i think that could be the downfall of this update. I love everything and want it to be successful but you need to think about how many worlds are going to be used for it

this seems like such a great update but personally, I think this should be held off till the new game engine that is coming to oldschool. That way you can create new shields and new monster designs.

Honestly if you do make a new shield, don't just use an obby shield recolored, use a cool shield an npc may carry that we can't have yet. plus the obby shield is specialized to match the tzhaar look.

Kraken seems like a fun idea, but just reusing the swan song boss is soo lame, and it looks small. Again I think it would be better to wait for the new engine.

Overall, I think the updates jagex should be focusing on are small mechanical updates and maybe area updates such as quests, minigames and such. I just think these big fun updates with new items and monsters should be held off till the new engine arrives.

People keep saying the magic staff suggested needs to hit like a whip, but the point is it can be used no matter what spell book you are on, which means if you are on lunar, it can still be used for magic combat, and you have access to venge on the lunar spell book at the same time, which is not currently available.

Magic is a distance combat ability, where as a whip is up close and personal. That means if you keep your distance using the staff and venge, melee has no chance against you.

Melee should always hit harder because melee also has the most damage taken of all the combat styles. Melee just should not be able to 1 or 2 spec somebody instantly killing somebody with 90+ hp as happened on rs2/rs3 with arma godsword and dragon claws.

Okay so I've noticed that the map you're showcasing doesn't show any NEW MULTI-ATTACK areas. And I know I've seen a map like the one you're showcasing that did show the NEW MULTI-ATTACK areas. Please don't bait the RS community by showing them a map that doesn't show the new multi-attack areas and then releasing content in the Wildy that does have new multi-attack areas.

For those of you who are worried that the new shields are a bit OP, what stats would you like to see on them?

I think the stats are fine now Mat. Don't change them.

I like the stats on the new shields; however, I think their stats are a bit higher on the spectrum than 'mid-level'. Also, the fact that there will be more than one shield slot item that gives range attack bonus is mind blowing and completely overdue.

The only thing I would be really, really disappointed in (if it passes) is no teles out of KBD lair. I often do my black dragon tasks @ KBD, removing the tele from his lair would make KBD tasks practically non-existant. (for me atleast) Nobody wants to go to KBD, get all their kills done.. be out of food.. then have to run through 45

wilderness levels just to bank. Especially if they get really lucky and get several new & expensive items from drops.

These would be great additions to the game, however there is one thing that comes to mind; If you payed to get into this, 'resource area' what keeps Pker's from camping out in there? I wouldn't like to get owned the second I log on by people waiting. I know it would be a good money-making spot for pkers, but what about those who go strictly for resources?

The problem with people being able to tele at KBD lair would be somewhat alleviated if the question about monsters being unable to interrupt PvP combat passes - reason being that currently people just run up and down the ladder, getting attacked by spiders & demons until their TB wears off.
