There are a few good updates, like the clanchat rejoining, great choice...but I dislike the new shields and the idea of lava dragons...

Shields:

They are oby shields with different colours, looks terrible if you ask me, next to that, if you plan to bring out new gear please make it "new" gear..now I know the game got it's limits as it's based on 2007 RS, but as Mod Ash said before they might bring out a new game engine in OSRS, might aswell wait till then and get "new" mage/range shields, not messed up versions of existing shields.

Lava Dragons: Why? what's the point of it....like nothing, they will be attractive for a few days cause they are new, then they will just be abandomned as always, keep the red dragons cause this idea is like replacing adamant with like liquid poison armour(randomly made that up).
I mean if you want lava dragons make up something new for the green/blue/black dragons too, either do that or leave the red dragons be.


P.S. bring out clanwars/new game engine asap please, so many people waiting for it we can't wait to rumble!


Lava Dragons aren't replacing all Red Dragons... they are just new dragons for the Wilderness because Red Dragons cannot ever have worthwhile enough drops in the Wilderness because they will always have drops inferior to Black Dragons (logically). The Red Dragons in Brimhaven Dungeon would be untouched.

"There has been a suggestion to replace the red dragons with lava dragons in the Wilderness. Lava dragons will have a combat level of 252 and will drop the dragon visage. There will be a slight increase in the xp you get from lava dragon’s bones, you will get 85xp for burying them."

This is great; I like the fact that the XP for these bones is fair and balanced instead of over-the-top (Frost Dragon Bones were 180XP). However, given the modest XP rate, I propose modifying the "Red Dragon Isle" in two (maybe three) ways:

1) Change the name to "Lava Dragon Isle."
2) Add a southern exit to the Lava Dragon area (Requiring High Agility), so that it isn't so difficult for players to gather these bones that it isn't worth going there in the first place.
3) Possibly raise the experience per bone to 108XP (1.5x Dragon Bones XP).


Side-note: I've talked to other friends and we strongly believe PvP Worlds should also be removed if the Wilderness Rejuvenation is to be as successful as it can be (which is CRUCIAL to the health of this game; a chance to return it to its former glory).

I almost freaked out for a sec when I saw the 07 equiv of Polypore hitting the polls, but seeing as how this wouldn't be allowed in PvP, I see no major issue with it (for now, at least. Can guarantee a "No" vote from me should a poll hit allowing its use in PvP)

Good stuff nonetheless.

Very happy with what I see here!

Not too keen on the whole new staff though, I just didn't like the way Polypore worked in RS3 and it throws me off.

Also, I don't mind having a crystal bow turn to a seed if a player dies with it in a PvP area, but what if you die in PvM? I don't want to have to recharge my bow every time I die killing a boss!

Also, if I was to get an Aviancy task, Would I be able to use my slayer helm (i) at Armadyl Boss and have its affect work on Kree'ara, since technically she is an aviancy!

Most of this stuff looks great, but the staff drop from cave krakens looks extremely lame. It has a high magic req, but low accuracy bonus and a very high price to cast a spell weaker than the god spells with charge. So if this staff is to be introduced it has to be waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay buffed. thanks guys!

Go to Runescape's Twitch account and check out the most recent Q&A, they talk about tabs (as well as a ton of other things) on it.

I like the idea of putting in the lava dragons but when you say switching them with the red dragons where will the red dragons go? I would like the red dragons to stay in the wilderness. My suggestion is that u take out the level 35 green dragons and put the red ones there, that is if people decide to vote for the lava dragons. Not many people kill green dragons at Level 35 any ways.
That's just my suggestion though.=]
