i wasnt around when he was first released, so this guy is a whole new thing to me! what i read so far, i like, but i do want to provide some balancing things.

the DragonFire Shield is currently the best-in-slot shield. it gives the most offense of any shield, the most defense of any shield, and absorbs dragonfire. if you're not using it, you're poor or stupid. variety! we need variety! i feel you should add these new shields and not nerf them too hard. im not sure what they used to do, but if one is super offensive, it shouldnt be super defensive. if one can absorb dragonfire, it should have some kind of drawback, to make it less useful in pvp.

with weapons, there is at least some variety. barrows sets to do lots of damage and provide defense, godswords to do reliable heavy hits, whips to do reliable light damage. crossbows or the dark bow, one is fast and low damage, one is slow but huge damage. magic has teleblock in normal book, ice barrage in ancients. offense has plenty of variety, but there is none in the shield slot. its either you have DFS, or you have nothing.


otherwise, id vote for 110+ combat, if hes really as hard as he sounds, and 200+qp. i think he should drop a pet for us, since those just came out and thatd be super fun to have. and for where he should be, id like to see him not in the wilderness. how about another empty area? a good one is right between Draynor and Lumbridge, fenced in areas with nothing in em. no cows, no wheat, no chickens. put a dude named Joe right there with a cave and a sign, he can say "dont go down there, kid, i hear something big growling!" to ineligible people, or "i hear something growling down there, why dont you go see what it is, champ?" to people with the requirements to fight the boss.

i think itd make new players curious for whats down there, and give them a reason to play the game longer. if its so close to the start, why are the requirements so huge?

So one of the biggest arguments in all of old school is Dragon Claws. Honestly, if any rare drops should be added, i highly suggest this. Spirit shields although very good in many cases, they absolutely will kill the wilderness entertainments. Bossing will become too easy, rich players will always have the advantage of being near immortal with their divines like they originally were and so on. Dragon Claws were at least used by me and ALL PVM players for a good start to the kill, but it won't help you extend your trips significantly thus keeping other rare drops from other bosses to hold their values. Spirit shields (Such as the original divine and elysian) who knows how bad that can damage the economy. itll increase bossing and pvm trips by a minimum of triple, based on experience with these in pre-eoc. Although it may not seem like much, keep in mind the very long term effects. Honestly i would like to see dragon claws more then anything and i highly suggest considering to put this in the next pole, and i can almost guarantee that's what the decision would be. Sure everyone has their arguments and this is mine. May the best poll win i guess

what about the cave you enter
what about first time going there you have to bring

a hatchet to chopdown some vines
then burn the vines!
then mine the rocks to open the cave
and u need 37 woodcutting , 47 firemaking and 45 mining for that!

when you enter you see a cutsene of you walking to a skeleton on the ground becose you can see a shiny shield
you pickup the shield ( spirit shield )

there we have everythign from the quest but the hunter lvl and summoning also the shield reward!

and maybe something u have to make soemthign inside the cave so u can make the entrance stable with some planks and u need 40 contruction for that maybe!


and idk for hunter farming and 55prayer reg but ppl are just dumb entering without 70prayer anyways

Yes, I like a 100+ quest requirement.

Do not nerf the shields, there needs to be an incentive to kill the monster.

I like the new armour idea, just don't make it degrade while in combat, and please make it slightly overpowered.

Also the new weapons would be great, a crush weapon would go nicely with the new ring. Why not throw in one for each combat style? perhaps a new bow, crush weapon, and a staff.

Love the updates, the only thing you should nerf is the 75% requirement for a poll to pass. cough **** *artisan*

Also depending on what level you define low (40-50 being my guess) that would either be so much junk. Low def pkers have no prayer points normally (smite max) and would be liable to be smited out really fast with that, and they probably arent gonna be bossing with this shield. The usefulness of this is very questionable.

Mid level would probably also fall under "Junk" if the high level is retained at 75def, because that puts mid level at 60ish def which again is not bossing and I dont think theres a lot of useful pvp builds with this set up.

Which leaves...high level as the only viable one.

In regards to the making of melee\range\mage. If the feature only works on one side of the triangle, its probably gonna loss its value a little quicker because I imagine over time bosses will simply ignore prayer entirely to make them more and more "challenging" - that would be where divines really shine.

I am not your brother, and more importantly anyone can manage to get the level requirement for something - it isnt even that hard with NMZ.

Quite honestly, the idea of Corporal Beast being implemented is a great idea for new content for the Old Schoolers. But let's not forget the original idea of Old School Runescape was a server brought back from the time era of 2007 as well as the content. Corporal Beast (if I remember) was a boss added in 2008?

I for one do not support the idea of this being added to the game but if he were to be added there should at least be a combat level requirement of 110+

110 Seems to be a good number because at this point in the game you will have considerably high combat stats and will have spent a lot of time preparing for this boss and GWD/Barrows/etc..

The Spirit Shields, I for one do not like. They quickly became the best shields to use but are a neat idea for shields. Adding them to the game would make it very obvious for what people would want. I like diversity in my equipment. I do not want to feel like I am to be forced to grind out Corp for a Divine to get my best shield in the game, whereas without Corporal Beast, It would be back to the grind in Barrows/KQ/GWD. Which I am completely fine with, it is 2007 that actually fits in with the style of Old School.

In addition to the last paragraph, Corporal Beast's lore with the game was built around the skill and idea of Summoning. Having him in the game would sort of question what he is doing here when no one has discovered Summoning.
I am not suggesting we add Summoning because that skill will ruin the server in my opinion, but this is just my personal opinion on the boss. :)

A dark fairy ring has appeared in the wilderness and needs investigation!

Upon investigation you find that the sporadic bouts of lightning and magic are coming from the nexus of the dark fairy ring.

The fairies believe this is due to a collision of the corporal plane and our own, (obviously nefarious activities)

Unless it's stopped, random leakages of magic will continue, culminating in a tear between worlds which will pour unwanted and dangerous beings in to our own.

The fairies and other experts, believe that the best defense is a good offense, and that we must be the first to establish a controlled portal between the planes.

To create this portal, the fairies will need the essence of the strongest beings of our world and the rare elven crystal portal focus.

Go forth mighty adventurer and return with these items! Lest our world as we know it will be torn asunder!

I believe updates like corp beast could be a serious game breaking update if not handled with the utmost of care. As Henry Ford said " If I asked my customers what they wanted, they would have said a faster horse."

Requirements: Be able to slay the hardest monsters in the land, at least all the gwd bosses, jad, kbd, chaos elemental so forth. (I'm crazy right? No, true players love a challenge.) Should take care of keeping it high leveled and experienced.

The elven crystal portal focus will obviously incorporate all the quests up and past roving elves, not really sure how yet, I think you should have to make the focus some how, while learning how to shorten a crystal bow into a cross bow.

Corp Rewards, shields maybe(not very original ((like most people on thread)), just no damage absorption. or at least in wildy. Honestly, I liked the sigils transforming stuff, I think that could be used for a lot more than just shields.

I know my suggestions aren't perfect, but let's keep updates nice and original, or at least as original as we can.
