Ignorance... That only happens with summoning familiars plus overload and soulsplit update. Elysian and divine only add a few more kills a trip in reality. Like many have stated before, players should be rewarded for hard work.

What did pk'ers get for their hard work to get their stats up?

I'm a PvM'er but that statement isn't right to say here.

Pkers are greedy, Can't expect risking 100k at the chance at 10m loot... You think you're a good pker than dh fight? There is decent cash to be made dhing. Or setup a high risk bandos/ags 1v1 against someone. Problem is there is very little honor in 2k14 pking community.

^This. Isn't the amount of money you make by pking determined by the amount of money you're willing to risk? Generally speaking, that is.

I'm sure there's the odd person who's pked 100m while risking 1m.

You seem to be investing a lot into this raid boss which don't get me wrong seems like its gonna be epic. But at the end of the day the OSRS community can reject the content and down goes raid boss...

The design I have is still very early stages with no background code behind it at the moment. I'm waiting on concept art that might soon bring to life what I was expecting. Then I'll show it off and get feedback

I'm thinking that 100+ combat and let's say 150/200 quest points would be enough of requirement for chance to kill Corporeal Beast.
Let's say you'll need to be at least 100 combat level to enter the cave with Corporeal Beast and for quests points let's say some kind of short mini-event which requires quest points to start it and after that you could be able to enter cave.

Drops :
1. Introduce Spirit Shields as rare drops - Change stats of shields but maybe leave effects the same as it was.
2. Maybe introduce special 5th shield which will be rarer than all others and would have some kind of special effect.

3. Introduce Corporeal Beast pet.
4. Introduce a bit changed drop table of Corporeal Beast.

Here's what I think.

If the game isn't ready for spirit shields as they were, or very close to as they were in 2008, I think corp should just be postponed until the community is ready. LIKE YOU STATED in the first post, GWD items were added, there will come a time where we eventually need higher hear defensive items anyway. Why not do it with spirit shields which were SO POPULAR pre-EOC!?

Divines, elysians, spectrals, and arcanes were powerful upon release but I NEVER recall any time where the community was against them for being too good. At least nowhere near the extent of d claws.

For me, the rarity and "epicness" of spirit shields allowed me to have a lot of fun hunting corp, and getting a drop after weeks of camping the boss was very rewarding and worth the time.

So, in all id rather see corp postponed until the community is ready for spirit shields, rather than see it be changed so much.
This is coming from a corp killer from day one in 08.

and PvM'ers are not greedy? LOL ... oh ok so in order to make money pking i'd have to get 70 def+ ? so sub 70 def pures are bound to 0 profit pking? You saying to DH pk or high risk bandos fight tells me how little you know about the pking scene. "Can't expect risking 100k at the chance at 10m loot" yet when you go corp you risk maybe what 5M if you die at the chance of 1bil drop?

The only way the 75% poll is hindering us is because it's too low. It was purposely designed so that only a supermajority can vote something in. If you made it any lower than literally everything polled would pass. "Old School" runescape is becoming a joke really.

Spirit shields will only become really powerful if there's other stuff like curses, overloads and summoning to back them up. As I don't see any of these items making it into old school, Idk why you're afraid.
