Ugh.. I dont want the corporal beast but it seems like with some work the community is going to vote it in. Artisan fails horribly the g.e like trade system fails, not all of the cosmetic reworks pass, but the corporal beast will pass? Gf community. I love how a lot of people used the it's not old school for updates like the trading solution and artisan, but that point becomes irrelevant when it comes to adding bosses. I've known all along combat is the most popular thing to do on this game I just wish we could get a large skill oriented update once in awhile. There are how many skills? and the only updates for oldschool that are of any significance is rooftop agility and the motherlode mine oh and the wilderness rejuvenation involved some skilling but that was just to bring skillers in for pkers to kill so I personally dont even count that. So yea even though it probably won't matter I will be voting no to corporal beast as "it is not old school". End of feeling sorry for myself rant. No

Actually most play just because it's not EOC. I feel progression is needed in a game like this... That means introducing higher level content and challenges. It's been that way since RS has begun. Many don't not like the progression that happened with RS3, but that doesn't mean we should bar progression off in OS.

What state would this game have been in by now if GWD hadn't been introduced?


so it's only a challenge if a hard to kill monster drops valuable items? When it doesn't drop sigils it's "death content", nice logic. It would be a challenge to kill thougher bosses without improving the gear.


I think your missing the point. It's dead content if it doesn't drop something worth the challenge. When people boss, they want the drops... If the boss is difficult, then there needs to be a good incentive to hunt. If the boss doesn't have something desirable to drop, not very many people will hunt it. Thus it creates dead content. People kill abyssal demons for whips... People kill GWD for armors and hilts. DKs are killed for the rings... **c

Most people PVM for the drops or rewards.

The prayer drain made it not OP.

I would bet that over 75% of people on this forum have never even owned a divine.

I honestly think we should have the spirit shields in game but have the effects on the shield disabled for pvp. I feel osrs needs some really expensive high level gear for people to aim for. While bandos and ags dfs etc is a great goal and can take some people along time to get for the above average player it is just too damn easy.

I don't want to see the corporeal beast without its quest line. I realize three quests is a lot of work for any size team ,but I would rather not see corporeal beast introduced than see it thrown in without any real meaning. I don't want this to set a precedent for pulling content from RS3 and leaving the meaning behind it. Eventually we will have an empty game, something that runescape is not! I love the world of runescape and how deep its world design is. If there is going to be an incredibly strong boss slapped into the middle of oldschool Runescape I want there to be reason behind its existence in the game.

Maybe keep the original sigils and the way they looked.

Maybe change their dmg soak.
- keep aracane as it was
- keep spectral as it was
- change elysian to less dmg soak (maybe 10%?) used to be 25% i think
- change elysian to less dmg soak (maybe 12.5% + prayer drain) used to be like 25% + pray drain i think.

this way they wont really be that overpowered. Ppl wearing them cud still get banged in wildy or something.For example u probably cud still psec like a 650+ on an ely or divine.

idc bout any cmb or quest requirement

I would suggest that there are no requirements other then being able to defeat the beast.

As for the drops, I would make the shields more common but slightly nerfed. I hated how shields were 700m+ back in 2008-2009 and nobody could really achieve getting them. I wished they were around 100m but lots more people had them.

kill corp for bulk ranarrs and other herbs, bulk seeds, bulk planks/logs etc
