Sure with high reqs, everyone can go kill the boss and make money. It's clear alot of players are scared that there will already be too many players so they can't make as much as they could with less players.

I stick to my opinion, new bosses are good and needed. But new gear/weapons is just OP-scape, easy*cape.

What is the point of releasing new, tougher bosses if they don't have something worth hunting them for?

Why does things worth it to be killed for have to be new gear/Weapons?
And why does it always have to be money-related?

Ever seen the kalphite king flowered vid on youtube? These guys just had fun killing him with a flower, didn't care about if they would get a drygore. They just achieved a nice goal.

There will always be ppl trying to be the first one to solo corp, the first one to use no food at corp, the first one to afk corp etc.

Imagine future bosses, won't it be much more of a challenge if you kill these with a dfs/crystal shield instead of teaming it with divines? Divines would make future bossing easier and those new bosses will drop new gear too making it even more easy wehn you have those.

If this continues we're back at easyscape. I thought old school was about achieving things the old-fashioned way, not just upgrading things to make it easy.

Ppl maxed with the gear we have atm or even before gwd. So why have new things?
Go bring runespan and fish flingers and big chinchompa game and pengs and treasure hunter if you want it easy.

For release of corp: yes.
For new best in slot items: no.

Let it drop bulk items worth it to be killed for or some gear that already excists.

Two words: Dead content.

Well, just giving my opinion but at what i currently read (been here since start of the thread) i won't vote yes for this poll.

For some old school means old graphics, for me it's a way of gameplay and adding spirit shields woul just go into the direction of rs3.

Dragon maul drop. have the head of the maul look like a dragons head, and for spec attack, you slam the maul down on the person, and dragon fire shoots out of its mouth.(much like the Dragon bolts e) Amycus

I would have a few ideas for drops:

Dragon Warhammer (1-handed crush-style weapon)

New Ranged lv75 Weapon (somehow tied to Corp's signature attacks)

In regard to the Spirit Shields, have them as they were. However, I would suggest a new twist: make them untradeable. This way you can keep the overpowered stats that they had (and possibly even buff them a bit more). This was done for the Fire cape and I don't see why it couldn't be done for the Spirit Shields. Also make lower tier Spirit Shields that only have stats and no additional effects; these are tradeable. They would be, obviously, less rare then their untradeable counter parts.

As for entry requirements, I find that the Quest Cape (or 200+ QP) will be required to fight this new boss, given the importance of mightiness of the creature. The entry would be on the new continent (if it is possible).

EDIT: Obviously, make a Corp Pet ^_^

First of all I am very very excited to see Corp and would love it to be as good as it can possibly be.

I think it is absolutely essential that Corp drops the original spirit shields
, without them Corp would not be Corp and there would not be a reason to kill it. People need to remember how rare they were and that was with Turmoil and Overloads, Old school has neither and if people think that most people will have access to the spirit shields, well they are very wrong.

As for the introduction of Corp, i see no reason at all to have it in the wilderness. Back in 2008 there was only revenants, no pkers so you could run pretty safely to Corp. I think the best way to implement Corp is to keep it away from the wilderness and if there really has to be a minimum requirement then 90 or 100 combat seems about right.

Another thing to think about before the implementation of Corp is Lootshare, with items as rare as sigils being dropped, it is going to be hard to find trusted people who are willing to split a drop worth that much.

Actually most play just because it's not EOC. I feel progression is needed in a game like this... That means introducing higher level content and challenges. It's been that way since RS has begun. Many don't not like the progression that happened with RS3, but that doesn't mean we should bar progression off in OS.

What state would this game have been in by now if GWD hadn't been introduced?
