Oh and Dilbert, I believe you said above that Jagex Official Financial report said there were over 765000 members... 99k "total population"? That's definitely not true since OFFICIAL JAGEX 2017 Financial Report indicated they have 765.4k members already. That's far more than 99k, and note that 765.4k is just the paid members, it doesn't include free players.uh well if that is true even at old grandfathered rates they would be bringing in 3.825m per month. Even assuming that half of those people pay with bonds, a quarter at grandfathered rates and a quarter pay the current rates...it would still be close to $3m per month gross income. And this doesn't even factor in TH or SGS $$ Are we getting the quality updates from these dollars or are they just running with the revenue?

There is no way to tell how much money exactly is an average member paid to Jagex unless Jagex volunteer to reveal that information.

Don't forget, Jagex also hand out free memberships too, and like almost every company in different business sectors, Jagex may also give out free or discounted memberships to other business partners too just that these kinds of deals are usually not disclosed. So in the end, not every member is paying $5 or more on the average.

How Jagex spends their money, is again, as I mentioned in several other threads is none of the business of us players. It is their money, not ours. :D :D :D

However, based on their official released information, Mobile, RS franchise titles, and the "living" next gen RS ARPG will likely be where a big part of their money goes or have already gone to. :D :D :D

Dilbert says: Give it a year or so, TH, SGS, RunePass or whatever new forms of MTX in RS3 will not be that big a deal to even more RS3 players. Players understand when they see that's what the entire video game industry is doing they won't find that big a deal Jagex is just doing the similar MTX things. Rest assured, there will still be the same few who keeps crying but their actual actions in the game like not just still playing RS3 but buying Premier Club members and RunePass will continue to blow their covers. They still love RS3 regardless of MTX and they know it. ;)

Personally I don't really care what the whole game industry is doing, I only play RS. I do find it interesting that you call out people for putting numbers or percentages without any facts yet you say that there are over 765k members from some report from what... 11 years ago? I seriously doubt that there are that many people that still play RS, and no I don't have proof, but either do you. I just know when I log in there might be 30-40k ppl on and I believe that figure includes OSRS. And you are incorrect, I may still play RS but I will not be buying Premier Club or the Runepass thing.

Again Dilbert says: How Jagex spends their money, is again, as I mentioned in several other threads is none of the business of us players. It is their money, not ours. :D :D :D

I'm sorry I pay membership not with bonds, but with $, to not only have access to the game but to expect some quality updates throughout the year, so yes it is my business as well as other people who pay their memberships each month. To say that it is none of my business how they spend the $ I pay them monthly is insulting. I am starting to believe some other posters that you must work for Jagex, your demeanor is rude & demeaning

If you don't like the products, you don't need to buy since it is your money.

Just that you spend a few bucks to buy a McDonald's Happy Meal doesn't entitle you to know how McDonald's spend their money. :D :D :D

Page 31. It clearly listed not just Jagex's 2018 1st Quarter membership count, but also the last few quarters too.

I'm regretting being a gold VIP member...

Runescape has been an addiction but the diminishing returns and the blatant lies are becoming more and more intolerable. This was once a great game but sadly it isn't as great as it used to be and I haven't been able to find a game that I used to enjoy as much.

OSRS's combat I find boring. I've gotten used to RS3 combat. I doubt I'll be a gold member in 2019 unless some major changes are made, which I doubt will happen.

2017 was bad, 2018 is confirming that Jagex as a company is hopeless.

So far we haven't gotten one of the promised "exclusive" updates as a gold VIP member. Just more god damn lies.
Jagex 2019 New Year Resolution... MTX our customers until RS3 SERVER SHUTDOWN PARTY!
The RS3 Community is treated like :@ RUBBISH :@ due to constant TH promotions.

Don't buy keys on Treasure Hunter, if you do Jagex will only make more TH promotions :(

Did you say basically the same thing from way back, like 2016 or 2017?

Well, at least your signature hints on you did not like MTX since the "2017 New Year Resolution"... yet you are still here in RS3 perhaps because
"you haven't been able to find a game that you used to enjoy as much"
.

Good luck looking but all the games out there have all kinds of MTX so I bet you will be back next year and repeat the same thing, but in the end you will still play RS3 and may even become a Gold member again. :)

Oh. Don't forget the Gold member "exclusives". I think the reason they haven't been released yet is just because the content associated with them have not be released, and the best guess is they are probably tied to Mobile and/or M&S rework. :D :D :D

But if i payed for a yearly subscription to receive Happy Meals from McDonalds and they start sending me half cooked fries and an empty bread bun, would i still not be entitled to know what's going on? O_o O_o O_o

The facts are:

Jagex has just raised the price of TH keys a couple of weeks ago.
Jagex is running a brand new bonus TH key pack NOW.
Jagex has sold 3-2 and 6-5 Summer membership packages with TH keys packed in a couple of weeks ago.
Jagex just put TH on the brand new in game Calendar.

Would all these be scam to real world consumers if they suddendly say no more or suspension of TH? I think even Average Joes understand Jagex's plan. :D :D :D

whatever it says must be true, right from the horses mouth
Shame it doesn't post on it's "other" account
