I've just seen and read your entire first pages. I agree with it. Jagex used to strive for achievements like awards and that golden joystick award. Now they don't care, I often wonder if they want to have the game fail and leave with the assets liquidated and get a final pay check.

I hope your moderator status isn't removed over this thread, this is the most elegant post I've ever seen about MTX.

Internal discussions doen't mean shit. How about some external discussions for once with the players? Not just when the shit-storm hits reddit but on a regular basis.

That is just over 26K RS3 players. OSRS should be the game failing... but those J-mods give a damn!

OSRS has 15 worlds over 1k players.

Don't buy keys on Treasure Hunter, if you do Jagex will only make more TH promotions

Those are the players currently online, not all the Jagex players. And regardless, they are not official. Only words come out of Jagex is official.

I'm glad you figured out that the data provided is concurrent players.

However, no one claimed that it represents all players, so once again, you're dismissing an argument no one has made. What it does provide is a representative snapshot of players online, from which conclusions can be made. If OSRS has more players throughout the entire day, are you really going to claim that RS3 somehow has more?

The NUMBERS are official, scraped from jagex's OFFICIAL sites. But more importantly, they're accurate.

More "players currently" online may mean some players may be more active than the others. There is no direct correlation between the actual number of players RS3 or OSRS have.

Different players have different habbits. I see from Twitch RS3 has 804,021 followers and 10,227 views but OSRS only has 22,580 followes and 42 viewers. Can I say RS3 blows away OSRS in term of popularity? Nope. I won't do that. It is just the preferences of some players.

OSRS may have more players online, but (1) it doesn't necessarily mean OSRS have more total players than RS3 and (2) it certainly doesn't mean OSRS have more

payers

than RS3.

Actually, there is a direct correlation, and it's common sense. Thank you for the hilarious claim with your "logic" however. I think we're done here.

Thanks you for your hilarious common sense and logic then.

I even mentioned I don't take the Twitch OSRS and RS3 data as a conclusive fact that RS3 blows OSRS away because it is just user preferences and habbits. Same with the number of "players" online in RS3 or OSRS. Enough said on that.
