5 months ago there were 724k paid members in RS. Now, we have 765.4k paid members.
We don't lose players, we gained players and not just players but paid players. That's the fact.
"Runescape" gained members, but those members certainly don't play RS3. And why would they? MTX everywhere.
Show PROOF "those members certainly don't play RS3" please? PROOF from Jagex's 2017 official financial report shows 26% of their revenue in 2017 came from TH. TH is and has always been only on RS3. "If" nobody certainly play RS3, at least a lot of people PAID RS3.
This thread is discussing MTX on RS3. The numbers you provided as "facts" RS3 is growing is a total number of Runescape as a whole. This thread is not concerning runescape as a whole, but RS3. We're actually on a downward trend for RS3 concurrent users, with last month being the lowest in Runescape's history. http://www.misplaceditems.com/rs_tools/graph/?display=avg&interval=month&total=1
Anyway, before you derail things further, the profitability was never in contention by anyone in this thread. If you enjoy runescape making money as opposed to it being a good game, good for you. That's not an adequate dismissal of anyone's concerns in this thread, however.
Before you derail this thread any more, I want you to re-read what this thread about. It is Treasure Hunter and RunePass, not on RS3's "downward trend for RS3 concurrent users" from an "source" totally not related to Jagex.
