Think about it, why would you spend a ridiculous amount of money for a chance to get the pieces for an outfit when you can pay a lower price for the full outfit guaranteed, no strings attached?

Maybe because i usually get all outfits i want anyways.

Thus this isnt needed.

i suggest remove all EXP and Bonus EXP rewards and make them only earnable in game as for SOLOMON'S STORE maybe add more auras that are useful but make them over priced but i normly pay my 10 dollars a month just to skill normaly or do a quest when i am required i got my fishing cape like a few months ago and i think its cool.

That's not answering the question. I asked why would anyone spend a lot of money for a chance of getting an outfit (or even just one piece) via gambling, when you could go to SGS and buy full outfits for a price lower than the cost of all the keys you bought?

I guess that's because they are 2 different products with different values perhaps according to different people. You can get different costumes and skins from playing the game without spending any real money too but they are just not the same things you can buy with real money from SGS or TH with some luck. So some people can have the same argument of why do they have to pay to get SGS and TH costumes if they can get free ones from just playing the game... and the answer, as least to me, is really simple.... because they are different products.

I'm glad to hear prize pool won't ever be returning. For many players, that was one promotion that crossed the line. Even an attorney would find it difficult to argue there isn't any element of gambling within that type of promotion given the mechanics of the meter, and the "chance" factor involved in risking resetting it.

I think Jagex acknowledging these concerns is one step in the right direction. Treasure Hunter doesn't have to give out copious XP in order for it to be a healthy source of revenue. I, and many other players before have suggested that Jagex focus on cosmetic items instead. Look at League of Legends for example. Their primary monetization is from cosmetic skins, for example, which players are happy to purchase and no one can argue it is "play to win" because there aren't any in-game bonuses or buffs.

I don't think many players would be upset if Jagex focused on more limited edition skins in Solomon's General Store, and maybe exclusive limited time Treasure Hunter items. Alot of data can be analyzed in sales and it is quite easy to see which promotions bring in the most money when examining Solomon General Store and Treasure Hunter sales. I do think Jagex would be keen to reassess how they're releasing microtransactions, and strategically implementing promotions that fulfills the balance of exciting players about new cosmetic items that are accessible through real life monetary or in-game efforts (bond) purchases without jeopardizing the notion of "achievement". For many folks, they feel Treasure Hunter has become a "pay to win" mechanism, and it isn't necessary for microtransactions to incorporate that type of design to be successful. Again, there's other MMORPG, and MOBA games which are successful and focus more on cosmetics. In my opinion, a shift in that general direction would be healthier for the long-term success of the game.

Part of the problem with this whole thing is what some players want vs what others want. Jagex can just decide which they are going to do, but if the only thing that can come from TH and keep the game alive is xp or cosmetics and minimal game-related sellables, the whole thing may as well just die.

Cosmetics serve no purpose and are really only good for fashionscape while you play. We have hundreds of outfits and almost nobody ever looks the same unless intentional or not overriding their armor. IMO we do not need more cosmetics as of right now, save that for AFTER you fix the broken parts of the game.

Involving player safety, fair gameplay, Necessary Reworks, Not so many quests unless they are important, and MORE POLLS.

Isn't it a good thing for players to have more choices? It is totally up to the players to decide what to buy whether from SGS, TH or just from the game's reward shops/quests etc?

One can also get a piece of each from SGS, TH, quests, minigame etc.

After all, everything can be obtained from the gp earned from playing the game, regardless they are in SGS, TH or wherever in the game. I only see the positives.
