Good old jagex still at it again I see, even after all these years. Promising the same old year after year, it's like when Liverpool fans say that they are winning the league this season or when Wenger signs a new contract and says that his goal is to win the CL.
It's only been 2 years since I wrote my dissertation for my degree, on the topic of how microtransactions can destroy online games and Jagex and RS3 was the main case study. I optimistically wrote that perhaps Jagex learned some lessons and are finally willing to listen to the community more to make their game better, but today I lookedon Reddit only to find another apology from Jagex about how they are sorry they DESTROYED RS yet again. It's a joke. As I speak some student somewhere is probably writing a dissertation on how much Jagex has failed as a games developer and failed with RS3 and how it could potentially have been so much better. I'm sure there's enough fails to write a pHD about it, maybe titled "How not to run a popular video game". I almost feel sorry for the devs who have to sweat their ass off to produce poverty items for microtransactions which no one apart from Jagex fanboys give a shit about.
I'm sure Jagex will quieten down a bit for a few months to reel in the suckers again and then release maximum microtransactions to rake in as much as they can.
