They are also nerfing hunter xp rates to get more key sales to make it artificially make it look like a good product. If they sold 5.4b xp lamps for $300 im sure everyone would buy it but that doesen't make it a good product. It's just keys on a game that give random rewards. Osrs has a better product, but If you were judging "Good product off which game has more purchasable things, Rs3 would win that by miles. But osrs still has more players despite rs3 having more products to sell.

The good product is the one which gives the owner of it the most profits, not that just a mere concurrent player count. Obviously Jagex is not going to remove such a good product that gives them a lot of real $$$ - TH.

Jagex can learn from the biggies in the game industry that they are looking up to like EA... According to Blake Jorgensen's (their COO and CFO) answer to a Wall Street analyst in their latest conference call (page 13):

"I think our biggest concurrent user day in FIFA would be 1.5 million users. And here (Apex Legends) we saw concurrence that we're 5x to 10x that is some cases.".

So Apex Legends is 5x to 10x a better product than FIFA, right? Totally wrong and the reason is simple. Concurrent players are absolutely not the entire playerbase, but just a portion of them and not all of them are actually playing (bots, AFK, etc), let alone paying for, the games.

FIFA makes far more money than Apex Legend, not to say Apex is not a good product but FIFA is just better because it gives EA more money. So are they going to remove Ultimate Packs which is pretty much the bread and butter of FIFA? The hell no. :D :D :D

Neither is osrs playerbase. There's alot more then 120k players per day on osrs. Everyone likes those games you mentioned because they are f2p. If they had membership they wouldn't be this popular.

EA already clearly specified concurrent players are not their playbase but just a snapshot. Same to Jagex. FIFA is not free to play. It is buy to play. It has an even higher entry point barrier than RS3 and OSRS.

Regardless, what should EA remove UTP from FIFA when they are making so much money, and likewise why should Jagex remove TH from Runescape when they are making so much sales?

The products don't sell will never even be marketed or offered any bonuses. That's probably why the Runepass experiment hasn't returned.

Biggest joke ever, that's why Fallout76 went on sale a week after launch because it did so well right? In fact, it sold so well that some outlets were giving it away for free by bundling it PS4 controllers.

What did Jagex added Premier Club, retail card promotions, Twitch Prime, 3 for 2 summer membership deals etc to sell RS membership? What did Jagex add Portable Vic to sell Bonds? Why did Jagex run SGS sales every week and keep pushing for deeply discounted Aura sales?

Are membership, bond and SGS all selling poorly? Biggest joke ever. :D :D :D

That's not what I'm saying at all. I said your statement that "things that don't sell well will never go on sale" is wrong, now you're saying that I said "things that go on sale aren't selling well".

Nice strawman.

That's what I wrote on Page 91, Post 8. Not you tried to twisted it to.

The fact that Jagex keeps sweetening their offers for not just TH keys, but also membership, bond, SGS while they keep breaking revenue and profits records year after year clearly shows Blackwing is absolutely wrong. They keep sweetening all the offers to all kinds of things that SELL. The ones done sell they just don't run them again.

Runepass actually did sell pretty well. Saw alot of water lycans last year. However portable vic is dead content and if they bring portable vic back, It doesen't mean it sold well. Only seen 3 portables vics and that was the first day of the update. I need my blue charms back.
