^ And to continue further on, I'm not saying I support the promotion entirely either. Releasing previous rewards is fine as long as they are not tradable, but making it TH exclusive with no chance of skilling for them is a big set back. Plus, others have stated it's extremely rare to obtain on Treasure Hunter so there's also that drawback.

I HAVE THE RIGHT TO READ THEM, you corrupted forum mods MUST KNOW that this is website DOES NOT FOLLOW the rules of runescape wikia, where they don't let banned users to communicate with other people!!! If I will see such act to be continued I am gonna speak with player moderators, they are gonna KICK YOUR ASSES!!! You aren't so powerful as you would like to predict!!!

P.S. Draco Burnz can you please answer me can you see my messages or not? Until they are hidden of course.

If you're someone who is telling Jagex to release mostly cosmetics through TH, you have to understand that this is the most ideal way to do it. (I don't support that)

My theory:

While we've known this promotion was coming since early October, they could still be using this promotion's collection mechanic as an experiment. A lot of people (not myself) have been asking them to make more of the promotions cosmetic rather than xp related. When you think about just how desirable the xp is from the promotions, from a business perspective you would need cosmetics that are pretty valuable if the objective were to make TH more cosmetic heavy. That means the cosmetics couldn't just be something you get with 30 or 40 keys. If all of the newer cosmetics are easy to get, it takes away a lot of value they have in general.

And allowing people to skill for the cosmetics hurts the value, so while they may have allowed it last time, excluding the skilling option this time let's them see how sales could go for future cosmetic promotions where you can't skill for the set. It can't be tradeable either because the price drop after a few days makes it extremely accessible for everyone.

In short, if you're someone who wants Treasure Hunter to be mostly cosmetic, expect the currency to be more rare without the option to skill for it (to preserve the value of cosmetics in general).

This ironically comes from someone well known for rigging raffles and treasure map for sea horse tokens, which he knew can crash on ge along with other map tokens thanks to his 2600 alts.

And thanks to said alt army owner who apparently fear the devaluing of cosmetics (which I don't agree with as they aren't tradable), a JMod stated somewhere on this thread that his actions are why the cosmetics are untradable.

I personally don't care to see cosmetics take over TH because I like xp more - that's really just my theory for why they might be doing the promotion like this. I'm not saying I don't want them to be devalued (I'd love it if the currency were tradeable which would lead to devalue), I'm just relaying why I think they took this route.

May as well have added it onto Solomon's store for limited time since you have to pay to get the outfits anyways
I agree. Solomans seems to be ignored by jagex lately.

Probably because overall, people are likely to spend more if they really want the items, and are made to gamble for them . . .

In retrospect, Solomon's is an honest and fair merchant -- at least you knew what you were getting, and for how much.

Currently at 640 GW -- 2 of 4 spins resulted in 20 ea.

I unlocked 3 outfits when this promo was first released in 2014. This was when ghostweave could be gained through skilling, as well as mtx.

So I purchased some keys, for curiosities sake. I used 100 keys and gained 620 ghostweave lol. The thing I got most was 'stars'.

Let me repeat, 6 2 0 ghostweave from 100 keys. I've decided not to use any more keys on this promotion. Guess I may get the other outfits, in another 3 years =)

Nice promotion, not executed wisely, imo.
Support. The amount of stars is absolutely ridiculous. It makes it WAY to costly to get the cosmetic item you want.

I completed a few quests yesterday for keys. Used 10 keys today with 0 ghostweave returns.

Is it just me or does the chance of ghostweave seem extremely low on this promotion?

I purchased 450 keys because I really wanted the titles and a couple outfits, needless to say 450 keys WASN'T enough to unlock everything. :(

I feel like I received more stars than Ghostweave.

Same issue here: 10 keys, no ghost weave today. I won only 70 with my 10 keys yesterday. Since most of the outfits are more than the 600 granted free at the start of the promotion, I doubt I'll get the one I want before it ends.

Highly disappointing odds for this promotion, and such a short time to 'win' it. Without the option to earn ghostewave during gameplay, they should at least have made it a longer promotion with time to get more keys in game. That might have allowed us to win a decent amount to make a few outfits for those of us that don't have bulging wallets.

And yes, Jagex, can you please cut down on the excessive amount of stars on TH?

Edit Oct 27: 5 more keys, 1 more hit for 20 ghost weave. This is getting rather ridiculous with such low odds for winning any gw.

Edit Oct 28: 5 more keys and no gw. I am soooo glad I didn't buy extra keys right now.

Edit Oct 29: Surprise, surprise. 3 out of 5 keys today got me another 120 ghostweave. Still, that puts me at a total of only 210 from 35 keys + the free 600 from the first day.
