I'm convinced Yogsathla- the lunar diety that's represented as a huge eye- is actually Ocularis, the stalker father/moon

Problem with this theory is ocularis has no eyes of its own, let alone some giant silver eye in its center. The whole point of ocularis was it was effectively just a giant stalker brain, it spawned the stalkers and spread them around the universe to be its eyes instead. So i'm not convinced thats correct

The Karamjan Gods are also probably just folk-lore, inspired by 'herbal dreams' those shamans might have, we know those Herbs in Jungle Potion do something ...
If the karamjan gods went this long unmentioned, then chances are that Jagex has just forgotten, which i find slightly improbable, or they aren't actually Gods. Or real.

They where asked about the karamjan gods a few times in lore segments the past few years. They said there is indeed a karamjan god that hasnt been ingame yet and it hasnt been forgotten. Its just with the severe lack of content and their reduced rate of putting out content it will be a LONG time before they actually get around to it. These days they seem to put all their time and effort into getting mtx events/promos done ahead of actual content =(

One thing to note, they did hint once that the karamjan god's name is written on the world map so theres something

From Grondaban's Stalker Notes:

The brain needed to see, to observe so the flesh tore away from itself, twisting and ripping into a ball of living flesh; an eye: all seeing, all watching... learning?

With the father's new-found ability to see, the husk did what it did before. It lay dormant, waiting in a quiescent state for the moment to cultivate, continuing to travel across the universe but observing and learning with each passing moment.

Ocularis does indeed have a singular (likely enormous) eye. The Stalkers were created by the father to understand why chaos created the strongest life forms, and were able to hear, taste, procreate, and feel in addition to being able to see. To once again quote the book:

These beings, made in his image, were more than he could be. These beings could hear, they could taste, they could feel, they could procreate... but most importantly they could see. They could see what could not see, so he sent his children across the universe to watch, to learn and to listen - he sent them 'stalk' the knowledge he could not - he needed them to learn for him.

See i read that differently. Its made very clear that ocularis cannot see for itself and thats why it created the stalkers, cus they're all linked with some hive mind kind of thing so they are its eyes for it. When it says "it tore away its flesh" and turned it into an eye, i read that as it creating the stalkers and not it making an actual eye for its own body. So i dont think ocularis itself actually has an eye, those are the stalkers throughout the universe

Though even if we take that as being the lunar god, it makes it even more confusing than before. Jagex has labelled ocularis as the body rune planet (or atleast its moon) but the recent survey spoke of a giants homeworld which very much sounds like it would fit the body rune. The notes say it originated from near infernus (so maybe not infernus but one of the other ancient planets), it then hung around infernus for a bit. And now we have it maybe linking to jermyn which is sounding quite alot like the death rune planet. Thats like 4 different locations for this moon, how we meant to pin it down...

The creation of the stalkers comes later. See, here's where Ocularis grows it's own eye:

A battle of static energy fought for dominance in the stone brain, with each spark signalling a sense. The brain could not decide which was the important - which one was the correct sense that a living organism needed, if it could only choose one; by the power and glory of Zamorak, it was chaos and survival of the fittest that decided the outcome.

The winner was clear, just looking at the Soulgazer in the front of me, it is staring right at me!

The brain needed to see, to observe so the flesh tore away from itself, twisting and ripping into a ball of living flesh; an eye: all seeing, all watching... learning?

And here's where it creates the stalkers:

He tried to understand why the chaos created the strongest forms of life - A brain of stone cannot comprehend the true essence of being a living thing, and he knew this. So, like a malignance awaking from its dormancy, in a moment of proliferation the flesh bubbled and boiled and birthed a whole new race; the race we know of as Stalkers.

These beings, made in his image, were more than he could be. These beings could hear, they could taste, they could feel, they could procreate... but most importantly they could see. They could see what could not see, so he sent his children across the universe to watch, to learn and to listen - he sent them 'stalk' the knowledge he could not - he needed them to learn for

They are two entirely separate events.

Jagex already clarified that there can be more than one plane per type of rune.

As for originating near Inferenus, that's not entirely accurate. The Stalkers originated near Infernus as a result of the father witnessing Zamorak's conquest of the plane, but Ocularis itself spent a significant amount of time prior to the father's 'birth' hurtling around the planes of the universe:

Ocularis was once a rock hurtling through the cosmos at incredible speeds, the sheer size of the rock warped the gravity of the surrounding worlds as it orbited the universe.

The moon for a millennium was dormant, a sphere of rock, littered with chasms and craters; it was there in the depths the first seeker became to be. Out of sheer luck or some divine power the 'father', as they call him, was born.

From Pieces of Hate

You get to see the pool of black water with "different" stars in it while fighting Jack.
Whats more troubling is the giant stone hand that comes out of it and attacks you. Whats even more troubling is how it wrecks your sanity. Im assuming the same sanity wreckage happened to the mwanu. Finally, he seems to have had some interaction with the Dragonkin at some point. Im guessing, hes the one that pulled them into the abyss to avoid death during the last revision.
I have seen the dark universe yawning, where the black planets roll without aim;
Where they roll in their horror unheeded, without knowledge or lustre or name.

Also from Pieces of Hate:

At different points in the quest, you can see and interact with a blue kitten full of stars.
If spoken to, it cryptically foreshadows events that will soon happen in the quest.

Normally, this would be a bit of an oddity, but once you unleash the Rum-Pumped Crabs on the zombie pirates of Braindeath Isle you get these flashes of kittens playing as the crabs eviscerate the pirates. The messages to you while these images are on screen start off innocent enough like a censor in a children's cartoon, but it quickly becomes clear that they are Xau-Tak is speaking to the player.

Which means that it is entirely possible, and in my opinion likely, that when faced with intrusions into their mind by Xau-Tak the player's mind coped by envisioning it as an adorable cosmic kitten.

Furthermore
Near the end of the quest you mention that the kitten isnt really a kitten to which it replies "Well youre not really a human now are you? Do you really think you can save them?" Found that interesting.

And when you ask Madame Shih what was up with all the kittens, she asks what you are talking about and states that there are were no kittens. Plus, the insanity debuff is a picture of a kitten.

We seriously perceive Xau-Tak as a kitten. I find that so very entertaining.
