We seriously perceive Xau-Tak as a kitten. I find that so very entertaining.


The hand of Xau also looks a lot like the hands on the new cave horror models, just very much enlarged. As for Xau as a kitten? I hope so. I hope we are perceiving him as such.
But I feel like its more likely this is just one of his proxies or priests. Similar to the things from the journal, or the cave goblin in kindred spirits, or Gustaf. One thing that is for certain,
the closer we get to Xau, the more our sanity wanes. Lots of weird things happened the longer you were there. SOJ, Zaros, Giant mole. WTF?

Note, portal where Xaus hand came from is very similiar than celestial dragons. They also went crazy, and I think discovering xau tak was one step to rid themself of SOJ

the temple where you go to fight rabid jack and see xau's monsterous hand, is in sunken dragonkin temple. After the fight there are four murals to examine that seem to depict a dragonkin being taken by large hands into a rift
