Yogsathla coud be like Yog Sogoth, the gate keeper keeping Xau out so far. Which would explain why the Mwuna hate and fear him. Don't ever think the reason I am peaceful is because I do not know how to be violent.

I believe Yogsathla's relation to Yog-Sogoth has more to do with Yog-Sogoth being "all-seeing" since Yogsathla's appearance is basically that of a giant bloated eye, and the writer says the priest matching Yog's description can see him even from his hiding place. I dont think Yogsathla's holding Xau back at all and if that is his role, he's doing a terrible job at it. Xau is probably more akin to Azathoth, the central most powerful being in lovecraftian theology, than Cthulhu. Other gods dance around Azathoth for eternity. The description of the three god icons around the many hands icon reminded me of this. I have seen the dark universe yawning, where the black planets roll without aim;
Where they roll in their horror unheeded, without knowledge or lustre or name.
