It's an amazing bit of detective work isn't it?

Alright, I think it's time for another OP collective reply (maybe I should start doing these more often and in a smaller scale?). Once again, thanks for all of you people for replying and supporting this thread. Now, let's get started.
I heavily doubt this theory could actually be the case. I do not think that gods would want to 'spread divine seed', so to speak. Also, the notion that a bloodline starting at least two millennia ago has a small number of descendants living today is statistically improbable (i.e. Genghis-Khan lived 800+ years ago and has 70 million descendants). Also, while the Adventurer can seem super-human at the first glance, note that other people have achieved similar feats, but not in the same scale as the Adventurer.
It was never stated that the Adventurer's family owned a piano, just that the Adventurer was taught (read: forced) to play one. The Adventurer's parents may have had connections to wealthier families that had a piano or used a piano from a school. Also note that the Pompous Merchants refers to them as a 'low-born oaf', implying that they know what a middle-class citizen is and they can tell immediately tell that the Adventurer isn't one.

Personally, I think that this is not the case. While I dislike the use of 'Amnesiac Hero' and I'd expect it to affect my opinion, the notion that the Adventurer has amnesia isn't addressed anywhere in the game. In addition, the use of amnesiac hero is entirely justified in cases where the protagonist is in a foreign country or another world, but is decidedly strange in cases in which it appears that the scenario takes place in the protagonist's homeland, which is the case in RuneScape (the Adventurer is from one of the three human kingdoms, so it wouldn't make sense for them to have amnesia).
Also note that usually the Amnesiac Hero:
1.
Has amazing fighting skills, but no idea how he got them, which makes his origin even more mysterious.
While the Adventurer knows surprisingly well how to handle weapons the first time they fight trolls, they still have their skills at level 1.
2.
Is found by a handsome/beautiful soon-to-be sidekick, who helps them on their journey to remembering who they are.
Again, this is not the case, unless Ozan or Signature Heroes in general start to show up more in future content.
3.
Has a dark and depressing past that they probably don't want to remember anyway.
Probably not the case, since the Adventurer thanks their parents for raising them well, thus I doubt that the Adventurer's past was dark and depressing.
Thus, I have come to conclusion that the Adventurer doesn't have amnesia and can remember their past crystal clear. It just hasn't been brought up.

That's quite well thought out. It would make sense for the Adventurer to be from a family of travellers, but after I started looking at the facts, there's one problem that debunks this theory. If the Adventurer was from a travelling band, how could they attend to a school? Participating to a school means that the person has to stay near the school in order to gain daily education, and that would be impossible for a band of travellers unless they settle into one area until the Adventurer and possibly the other children of the group had received their education for one year. To put it short, travelling and education do not mix well.
This can't be true. Jack lived and died during First Age, while Balance Elemental was created at the end of the God Wars to protect the Stone of Jas after Guthix banished the gods. This also applies to other theories about Balance Elemental's identity, such as that
the Balance Elemental is Hazelmere or a family member of the Adventurer:
he was created in Third Age, while Hazelmere was born during the 4th age and there is no evidence that a family member of the Adventurer has died.

That could actually be possible. While I like the theory of the Adventurer being an incarnation, we do not know how incarnation works on RuneScape and considering how cliché it is to have the main character being an incarnation of a long-dead hero, we can't draw any solid theories.
Then again, Balance Elemental implies that either it saw our future or talked about our past life where this ancient adventurer knew him: and while it would be possible that the Adventurer would fake their death/revived after the Funeral had ended, we can't die permanently due to the gameplay mechanics: thus, what option we have left?
I doubt that we are going to travel back to Third Age just to meet Balance Elemental. While I think it would be possible and while we most likely are going to see more of the Third Age through cutscenes, I doubt that we are ever going to physically meet the Balance Elemental in his human form.
It is quite weird, but on the other hand that dialogue was from the early days of RuneScape and hasn't changed since. Back at 2001 RuneScape's lore was almost non-existant, the game was in its infancy and since the dialogue was/is so 4th wall breaking in general, I consider that non-canon, namely because it's almost impossible to create an in-game explination for it.

Maybe the player was from a low-mid class family, not dirt poor though. Enough money in the family for middles class not to run screaming. That may indicted the family wer into crafting style working That would give them access to the mid-class families as well as schooling. While a piano may have been at school it would still have been a higher standard of schooling than most. So the piano maybe related to a the family they are friends with and maybe be why they have access.
So a craft that links the family and the purchaser, like a jeweller for example, could be the case. That would bring the players not so well off family into regular contact with the higher wealth bracket and the player going to school and playing the paino maybe have veebn a result of that social connection.
The player not telling about their past and changing their name could be down to not wanting to end up in the family trade and wanting to be rich like their friends.
So the player changes their name and takes up the life of an adventurer instead of apprenticing to the family after their schooling.
Well that's one theory going on what we know lol.

Quote from Lunar Diplomacy (we learn a lot about ourselves in this quest...)
- - -
Selene: Let me see… We value knowledge of self because it is this that gives us our strength! It is most important!
Player: Well… I know things about myself.
I know I like hot chocolate!
Selene: I was meaning something a little deeper than that. We also like to see someone listen. You know how they say a wise man listens?
Player: …
Selene: Did you hear me?
Player: … I’m listening.
Selene: Most wise.

You can only fully appreciate a story when you experience it through the eyes of one of its characters.
I like to think that the adventurer is just some person who wanted to become a famous adventurer. They start going on adventures, doing quests, and eventually they open Guthix's resting place. Now the adventurer is the World Guardian, to protect the world from the gods.
