3) With the Balance Elemental just recently gaining new lore(of which I am EXTREMELY glad :D as it's been an obscure topic of discussion for years now) can you say if there is a chance that it could have further relevance in future content?

Maybe. But probably not. Memorial to Guthix did a lot of tying up of ancient history, very little of which has relevance in the present day.

5) The 9th Elder Artefact, the Needle, was mentioned in Endgame, does this imply that a crossover between Idle Adventures and the main game is inevitable?

It doesn't necessarily imply that, but it does imply we endeavour to keep them within the same canon.

7) For the final Fifth Age quest to be released, could you say if there are plans to link it to The World Wakes in any way?

If there are, this is the first I've heard of it.

- In Hero's Welcome, Kalibath was interrogating a White Knight about the whereabouts of Saradomin's "weakness". Was he talking about Adrasteia?

Yes.

Pizzahatt1 said :
- What type of demon are Avaryss and Nymora? Are they in any way related to Mazchna and Achtryn, since all four are more humanoid than your average demon?

Avernic I believe. Why human? Because Ollie. :P

Pizzahatt1 said :
- If I've understood things correctly, the Elder Gods currently exist in two forms each: their eggs in the Elder Halls, and their larger forms whose locations are indicated by the Measure and their mouthpieces. Since their larger forms are going to be awakening soon, how is that going to affect the eggs? Is this awakening something that normally happens each cycle or is this the first time? What happens to the larger forms when the eggs hatch? To what extent are the larger Elders and the ones that hatch from the eggs separate entities?

This is all blatantly something that should be explored in future content I fear. ;)

Pizzahatt1 said :
- Will we find out what happened to Arianwyn's brother Dai at some point?

Perhaps.

Pizzahatt1 said :
- Do you think you'll ever release an official map of the RuneScape multiverse? I know quite a few people would be interested in seeing one.

Never say never, but it's not something we are currently planning on doing.

Pizzahatt1 said :
- Is our new soulmate going to restrict what choices we can make in future quests?

Wait and see. :P

1) How powerful are the Mahjarrat now?

That remains to be seen, but certainly not more powerful than Tier 6.

Original message details are unavailable.
2) In Zaros' deal, he stated that the Gods owed him a favor once Sliske's game was over. Sliske said his game was over before Zaros acted on the deal. Why did this still have an effect?

Zaros knows that Sliske is full of pomp and theatrics, and so do all the gods he made a deal with. Sliske declaring the game is over when the game clearly isn't yet over doesn't mean anything as far as the contract is concerned.

Original message details are unavailable.
3) What will the Gods do now? Is the war cancelled?

Why would the war be cancelled? The stone is a means to an end and the end is still there.

Original message details are unavailable.
4) Are the deaths of the Gods set in stone? Or can they be stopped?

There's no reason to believe it's any time soon.

Original message details are unavailable.
5) Likewise, is the World Guardian destined to fail and die? Or can this death be prevented?

Do you want us to release a quest in 2018 which kills your character and deletes your account?

Sometimes lore has to take a backseat to practicalities. The world guardian, as the player character, is functionally immortal because if they die, there's no game.

Original message details are unavailable.
6) To what purpose does Zaros continue to persue Elder Godhood?

As far as we know, there's nothing more to it than that he considers it his birthright.

Original message details are unavailable.
8) Would Zaros have still saved the Mahjarrat even if Zamorak didn't make the deal?

Of course. Zaros was trying to save the Mahjarrat when Zamorak stopped him.

Original message details are unavailable.
9) What tier is Zamorak after CoM?

I reckon he's back to Tier 4.

Original message details are unavailable.
How much power did Zaros gain?

Exactly 5 point of power.

Original message details are unavailable.
What tier is Seren, having not participated in the ritual?

It had no effect on her tier either way.

Original message details are unavailable.
How much did Mah drain her?

A bit? These mathsy questions are quite specific.

Original message details are unavailable.
10) Could the Stone of Jas be fixed?

Definitely not. It's gone.

Original message details are unavailable.
11) Zaros claims he did not know about Char's fall at Zamorak's hands. Was he lying or could he not see Char's imagine in Zamorak's head?

Are you referring to the conflict inside Zamorak's mind? This wouldn't give Zaros total knowledge of everything Zamorak knows.

EDIT: Oh I see what you mean, no Zaros couldn't see those images.

Go to go, sorry. You can always tweet me specific questions @JagexRowley. If I've skipped over questions related to desert lore, it might just be because we're working on the Menaphos project... ;)

How did Tumeken elevate his chosen children? He made animals into demigods. Could Saradomin or Armadyl have made their children or spouses into gods or demigods as well?

Yes, any god could theoretically do this, although not every god knows how or would want to, since it requires a permanent sacrifice of their own divine energy.

Are the magic abilities - such as Wrack, Asphyxiate, and so on - all canon? As in, are they legitimate spells that mages can use in the world of Runescape, and not just a game mechanic?

They're a game mechanic. Abilities make no narrative sense.

Marine Doge said :
What's the difference between a siren and a mermaid?

They're different species. Mermaids are most likely liminal beings (hybrids), like centaurs.

Marine Doge said :
Is dragonfire some mix of chemical fire, magical fire, and just general extreme heat? If not, what differentiates it from normal fire?

The primary distinguishing feature of dragonfire is...it's fire breathed by a dragon.

Marine Doge said :
What races DO generally need runes for standard magic

Those that don't have an inherent spellcasting ability.

Marine Doge said :
Does this mean a musically-inclined mage can use music instead of runes to cast their magic?

In principle. If culinary magic is a thing, all bets are off.

Marine Doge said :
I know Camelot lore is iffy and wonky, but it's still in game, so: Where is 'Britain' in the Runescape universe? Is it on Earth (if it exists in the multiverse of RS)? Is it on Teragard? Or some other human-conquered world?

We don't talk about Camelot. It is a silly place.

What sort of "Ritual" was the Ritual of Rejuvenation? Is it simply the act of a mahjarrat dying near the Ritual Marker, or is there much more to it? Did it take more than one mahjarrat to perform, or could a mahjarrat do it alone?

Good question. I think it's probably mostly just the death near the marker, but I imagine some degree of ceremony would stabilise the magical processes and ensure success.

What will happen with the building southeast of of meyerditch, I think it is efaritays palace, are there any plans for it now that the myreque quests ended?

It's the ruins of Efaritay's palace before the destruction of Hallowvale.
Maybe. No current plans. We want to get plenty more fifth age series in the bag before returning to Morytania.

1. In Children of Mah, we are told Nex is "busy", by Pernix. She is building a fortress for a powerful energy source of some kind. Is there anything you could tell us about this? Was it the SoJ (this may not be possible, but Zaros empire-lore isn't my strongest side) or an elder artefact of some kind? Or something we just don't know of yet?

Maybe there'll be something about this in an exciting upcoming update brought to you by Mod Ramen?!

Original message details are unavailable.
2. What was Nex's role in the Empire, except for leading armies (including humans like Pernix, Virtus and Torva)? Did she have a fancy title like others of high positions within the Empire?

She was a Legatus. She only appeared at the very end of the empire, and had a comparatively much larger role after Zaros's defeat.

Original message details are unavailable.
3. What's her (Nex's) current role?

Zaros assigned her the task of keeping an eye on the activities of the young gods while he's busy enacting his plans.

1) Are the interactions in Sliske's Labyrinth (such as the one between Armadyl and Seren) put into the quest for ideas or more just to show scenarios if various factions met?

They show what happens when the factions meet and they expand on the characters and the wider story.

This is a bit of a strangely worded question so I think this is the answer you're after?

Mazakon said :
2) How much does lacking the Eluned shard and/or the dark shard affect Seren now after Sliske's Endgame and from now on?

The differences will sometimes be subtle, but it does have a profound impact on her personality.

Mazakon said :
3) Do you think Xau-tak and/or the Queen of Ashes will be intended to be more of a villain character like Bandos or Sliske or would they be closer to Zamorak where they seem evil but have a method to their madness to the point it would be feasible to side with them?

To explain that now would diminish the story potential of uncovering it for yourself. ;)

I wouldn't expect to be holding long meaningful conversations with Xau-Tak though, at least not without going utterly and completely insane.

Mazakon said :
4) How did the Queen of Ashes "redeem" the Fallen Nihil? Was there a biological change involved, was it mental in nature, or was it just a way of speaking?

The Nihil was talking in a more spiritual sense. ;)

Mazakon said :
5) Does Seren know about the Cywir in the Heart of Gielinor?

It seems unlikely that she wouldn't know. ;)

Mazakon said :
6) Zaros tells Char he did not know of her situation in the cave, yet Isis mentions an empty-sounding voice talking to her in her dream about the cave. Was Zaros telling the truth about not knowing of Char's situation?

What an interesting question. ;)

Mazakon said :
7) What do the strange, maniacal Sliske laughs we hear and the blackout we experience at the end of Sliske's Endgame mean?

Oh nothing. Clearly it was just an audio and graphical bug that perfectly coincided with a key plot point... obviously everything is perfectly normal and fine right... right?

Mazakon said :
8) With Icthlarin and Amascut being considered creations of godhood similar to Crondis, Apmeken and Scabaras instead of actual children of deities, what if anything does that mean for desert quests now as well as Icthlarin and Amascut's godhood tiers?

I think you've misunderstood this bit. They ARE the actual children of gods, it's just that the gods don't procreate quite the same way that mortals do. ;)

Mazakon said :
9) With the Eastern Lands released, will the Pirate quest series remain in the known areas or is it possible that Rabid Jack will continue his plans into the Eastern Lands?

Potentially, he has some plans closer to home a bit first I think. ;)

Mazakon said :
10) How much effect does Seren's inherent ability to compel devotion still have on the elves?

Lots.

More so than any other being.

They love her, completely and to the exclusion of everything else.

Even those that despise her, that loathe her, that resent everything about her... they love her just as much and they hate themselves for it.

Mazakon said :
11) Where do the Void pests come from if a gate to their world was opened up by the Void created by the Elder Sword?

They come from the void.... I may have misunderstood your question here...
