When I walked into the Heart of Gielinor, I had no idea I was walking into a crack den my new obsession, both with the lore and with the PVM. There's so much I want to know about it (though I have my own theories)...but here's the stuff I wanna know the most.

We'll start with my (somehow) personal favorite, Gregorovic. What was he like before he got sick? Where did he live and what did he do for a living? How did he first meet Sliske? What was he doing for the few centuries before Sliske needed him, and what happens to him post-Endgame?

I don't know a huge amount about Greg, you'll want to chase Mod Ollie up about that. However I can say that post-endgame very little has changed for Greg. His circumstances are a bit more... specific than the other wights so he doesn't quite enjoy the same respite that they do. ;)

Next, my second favorite Helwyr. When did the Cywir offshoot he was a part of arrive to Gielinor given how conservative the Cywir were judging from the Tarddian journals? And how do the shapeshifting powers within the Cywir clan work?

Circumstance can dramatically change disposition. Whilst the clan WAS conservative, necessity has made them more... direct.

Their powers work similarly to the powers of the crystal shapeshifters, only they have rather more control over it (they're sensibly rationed and not addicted like the elves on Tarddiad).

Moving on to questions related to my favorite anima guardian, Telos the Warden. How does the anima spawn guardians and what determines the traits each one has? Does the anima spawn guardians because of some inherent property or was Guthix or the Elder Gods involved in some way?

That is a BIG question and one that I would prefer to explore in content, rather than on a forum post. ;)

Zorial said :
Finally, just who is the third Fury sister?

Sorry, you mean "was" :P

She is now but a memory and a aching pain in the heart of two murderous demonesses.

Does the name really matter, she's a catalyst, an excuse to murder and to maim. Who she was doesn't really matter anymore in that context. ;)

Mm, all right.

4) Where in RuneScape is the Dragonkin Castle?

8) Lorefail of the Week: River of Blood mentions Ivandis invented Guthix Balance after the Battle of the Salve, even though he is known to have used it during the war. Is this intentional or will it be rectified?

9) When exactly would Amascut have eradicated the four lesser gods? Fourth Age most likely, but anything specific?

4. Which dragonkin castle? Presuming the one in Tale… in Bob/Robert’s flashback, I believe that’s intended to be the ruins in deep north-east Wilderness.

8. Don’t jump straight to assuming lorefail, it may just be conflicting sources. Consider the in-game source (not us). Where is it stated (and so who wrote) that he used them during the war, and is that from a reliable author? Does it specify WHICH war (e.g. pre-or-post-vampyrism)? Try not to make assumptions or have rigid thinking. (Though, if you say where you feel there is incorrect information, I’ll take a closer look and, if need be, correct it.)

9) Fourth Age sounds about right to me. Beyond the order, I don’t feel it’s important to state specific dates.

What race was Aeternam and will we see her again? And how can she be our predecesor when we approached Guthix at the end of the Third Age in TLW he didn't know about the concept of World Guardian?

Probably human, but it's unspecified.
She'll see you again. She remembers your funeral like it was yesterday. I guess you know better than anyone that the good die young.
Time travel is a confusing thing (and why we endeavour to not make use of it). She's both your predecessor and your successor, depending on your position on the timeline.

When can we expect Rite of Passage?

It's been delayed, because you mentioned it. You monster.

Can you give us some info about Saradomin's daughter Adrasteia?

Yes.

According to Captain Rovin it is far too expensive to equip an army with weapons better than steel.

Captain Rovin is subject to Varrock's military budget, which is in turn influenced by Aeonisig Raispher's counsel.

Answering this one on it's own as it jumped out at me.

55. Why isn't Sliske's Endgame replayable? It was planned for it to be replayable.

It WILL be replayable, just not yet.

We wanted to launch with it not replayable so that the lore could be explored by the community. We wanted people talking to one another and theorising, rather than replaying and getting each outcome and never exploring other people's views and discoveries.

We've delayed the replayability a bit whilst we add in some features that include:-

* A second canon playthrough - To assist those who encountered bugs which impeded their progress and for those who really struggled with the labyrinth.

* The option of changing your previous choices so that you can see how your story COULD have been, if you'd done things differently in previous quests.

* The option of playing through with a "story maze" rather than the big maze (would not count for the canon playthrough) so you can quickly get to all the story.

* The ability to choose which interactions you encounter and in which order, so you can see all the interactions that you missed.

* Perhaps a secret thing....

So, it will be replayable, but it needs a bit of time.

What exactly is the way of life of modern Zarosians, and how do they practice their religion? Have they kept alive many traditions and customs from the empire, and have they adopted any customs from the Kharidian peoples? If I remember correctly, they are forced to be bandits to survive; is this because the other Kharidian desert peoples/Menaphites are hostile to them? Are they legally barred from escaping into Misthalin through Al-Kharid? They idolize Azzanadra; do they lionize and revere the other major Zarosians similarly?

The only remaining Zarosians have, prior to Desert Treasure at least, not met any actual Zarosians for thousands of years. At this point they're really Zarosians in name only, and people like Azzanadra, Nex and Zaros himself would be mythical figures for them. They probably define their culture in opposition to the people of "lesser" gods who live around them, and given how long they've lived there they've probably acclimatised to the desert culturally and wouldn't want to leave anyway.

Original message details are unavailable.
Has Wahisietel salvaged many imperial books and/or artworks for his library?

Probably a handful at best.

Original message details are unavailable.
Given Akthanakos' connection to camels, is he an animal lover/skilled at animal talk in general?

No, just camels.

Original message details are unavailable.
Who or what exactly is Soran? Why is he capable of accessing the Shadow Realm? Does he preach the ways of Zaros because Zaros himself or Azzanadra tasked him with it? Is he old enough to have lived in the empire and remember it?

If we explore Soran, it'd be in future content. Probably in a lore book if anything to be honest, as we have plenty of Zarosians who don't have enough screen time as it is.

Original message details are unavailable.
How did there come to be a Zarosian presence in the Loop region?

The Zarosians were as capable of building boats as the later nations. Zaros's expansion seems to have been gradual and contiguous, so I doubt there was much military activity there, but they probably traded with whatever the isles were in the Second Age.

Original message details are unavailable.
How do new converts to Zarosianism in the Sixth Age who have talked to Soran live? Are they closeted or open about their faith? How are they viewed by others? How do the existing Zarosians view them?

Honestly I'm not sure how canon the emissaries actually successfully converting anyone other than the player is. In any case, as with Relomia, Soran seems to have missed the memo, since Zaros seems pretty uninterested in accumulating worshippers in the Sixth Age. In any case if there are other Zarosians around, they'd have to keep it pretty quiet since forces like the Temple Knights would probably frown on it if they found out.

Original message details are unavailable.
What was Sliske and Trindine's relationship? And what of her implied romantic involvement with Kharshai--did they have a falling-out of some kind?

Sliske probably treated Trindine strictly as a tool for his purposes or amusement. Although we don't know much about Trindine, her placement in the praetorians probably indicates that she wasn't that much better and so she was probably trying to take advantage of Sliske for political advantage the whole time. As for Kharshai, you'd have to write that fic yourself.

Original message details are unavailable.
How would Helwyr react to the news that Seren has returned? Would she disapprove of his efforts in the Heart to destroy Greg?

Mod Deg: "He'd be a bit pissed."

Mod Raven: "She'd feel guilty more than anything else."

Original message details are unavailable.
And how does Saradomin view the Zarosian genocide and his role in it?

Saradomin doesn't see it as a genocide at all. He sees it as a rightful and just conquest of the old empire, and the conversion of its people to a more wise and just ruler, i.e. him. Without the interference of Zamorak, Azzanadra, Nex and the other successor Zarosians, not to mention Bandos, this would have proceeded largely peacefully so he holds them entirely responsible.

Most likely he'll arise when another tale in that format lingers to be told. His time has not yet come.

3) In the latest Twitch stream it was mentioned that the Menaphos expansion wouldn't require the Sophanem quests but maybe a miniquest. Wouldn't this make the Sophanem quests inconsistent?
Couldn't you just give players an incentive to get the skill requirements like you did with Priffdinas (crystal amulet) and Children of Mah (Empty Throne room)?

Also, the Memorial of Guthix memories were beautifully written. Great job to whoever wrote them.

This isn't going to be a lore answer, but I feel it's worth covering here.

First off, nothing has been decided yet. We are still very much designing the update (parts of it are already in development, but it's how Scrum works that you design and refine as you go).

Requirements for entry are one of the things we have yet to determine. It is poor design practice to make assumptions - they should be challenged, if for no other reason than to reaffirm them.

We did the same thing with Prifddinas and the Arc, but neither of those ended up with no/low requirements to partake in their content. They are proof that we are not afraid to lock substantial content behind lots of requirements and high levels.

While it is true that a number of desert quests talk of Menaphos's gates being "closed to all" and events like Sophanem's citizens only returning after the Contact! quest, there are any number of ways that we could make narrative sense of the player being allowed access and not contradict existing content, even with no dialogue rewrites necessary. That is not to say this is what we WILL do - as I said, entry requirements have not yet been finalised, only discussed.

How real could Hanalan and Birman be? Are they restricted to folklore or could they make an appearance in the future?

I would presume them to be folklore only.

1. It was great to see Azzanadra in Endgame wanting to preserve his people, like Kharshai, by telling Moia the truth on why half-breeds are not and will never be the future of the Mahjarrats--it'd dilute their bloodline; ruin the purity of their race if you will.

How can the Mahjarrat race be saved when its numbers are so low, and there's only one female?

You make assumptions on mahjarrat breeding that isn't entirely accurate. ;)

2. Will we ever get to Teregard and explore the history and heritage of our own race? It'd be cool if we ever got that.

Teragard might not be the wonderful tourism destination that you seem to think it might be. Going to Teragard is unlikely to be a pleasant sight-seeing visit. ;)

3. In Endgame, Zaros was willing to kill us over the Stone. I would've given it to him anyways, is there a way to call him out?

To be clear, Zaros said that he respects you, wants you as an ally and things you're a pivotal piece for a greater future. BUT he needs the stone and he has to make that clear. His statement wasn't "I will destroy you, bwahahahahaa" it was more one of gentle pleading "Don't make me fight you".

You would have had more of a chance to resolve this, but then an unpleasant visitor interrupted it all.

PercyJakks0n said :
3.b) This isn't the first time Zaros didn't appreciate us, remember TLW when he got pissed off over Seren in Freneskae? When will he ever start acknowledging us?

He's acknowledged you plenty of times. But if you're expecting hugs and a parade you've probably sided with the wrong god.

4. Can you kill off Angof?

Angof has more of a story to tell and killing her off offers no story advantage, so no.

3. Are the gods deaths Death saw fixed, or can they be changed?

They were mortal deaths, so it's arguable they could never come to pass, unless they were once again stripped of their divinity.

4. How are the afterlives made?

Belief.

6. If you guys want to go to other worlds, how do you plan to deal with the World Gate given that using it means requiring quite a lot of quests?

So far, it's not been an issue. If you're needing to go to other worlds, it's typically because you've exhausted content on the mainland, in which case the target audience are high-level players.

Vardan said :
7. Any more plans for the TzHaar? I love the race and the city, would like to see it get some more love.

Me too. Realistically, they'd probably only be explored further in Elder God quests, given their connection to them, or if more combat content was desired in the Karamja volcano.
