So there was a Twitch stream this morning where Mod Raven clarified some things up that seemed vague in the quest, while showing us every possible cutscene from every possible option. Timestamps are around 4:30-END)

Some stuff he clarified was the whole deal about the pact Zaros made with all the gods.

• From what we already know, Zaros made a pact with Armadyl (Praetor Plumalis) and Saradomin (Praetor Barbatus) before the quest, and each of the gods will only mention this if they won the race.
• Zaros bribed Saradomin with his daughter, Adrastreia, who Zaros kept under watch with Nex. Zaros bribed Armadyl by [what appears to] promising to protect the Aviansie if he handed over the SoJ.

What happens afterwards after the race was won was determined by your choices in TLW and FOTG of fully restoring or sabotaging Seren and Zaros in each of their respective quest.

From what I understand from the stream...

•If you fully restored or at least gave her the Dark Shard Seren, but sabotaged Zaros...

- Seren will cast a special Welsh Elven spell to re-modify Zaros' pact on Saradomin and Armadyl by reweaving their "threads of fate" and swapping her place with Zaros. They will have to hand the Stone to her now should they win the race, AND they must do so or they will be undone. Seren could not erase the pact completely because, remember, a pact cannot destroy one once they are signed, not even by a T2 Gods. She could only swap people in the pact around with another person.

If Armadyl won the race, in return, Seren promised to protect the Aviansies as the original pact agreed to. She will do this even if Armadyl doesn't win the race (because dialogue says she still does and she is nice like that <3 ).

-If Saradomin won the race however.... (next page)
I submissively obey Lady Seren's every whim and relish every waking moment willingly serving her. She is my mistress and I am nothing without her. I am without thought, self-awareness, and being without her. She is my everything.

As for Saradomin, according to Mod Raven on the stream, it turns out Seren’s agents discovered Adrasteia on accident while exploring Nex’s prison while the quest was taking progress. She was quickly rescued and sheltered at Priffdinnas. Seren alerts Saradomin this and was prepared to give him his daughter back (because she was the holder of the pact now) in exchange for the Stone. (Remember, they both had to abide by the pact, or one of them would have been “undone.”) Seren still returns Adrastreia whether he appeared in the quest at all or not, despite the pact being voided by the Dragonkin. She never planned on keeping her hostage, only rescuing her to return to dad.

•If you fully restored Zaros...

-Seren will attempt to reweave Zaros' pact to her instead but does not succeed because Zaros’ mastery over the threads of fate exceeds her mastery, even if she is fully restored in TLW. She tried anyway, right? :P The Stone of Jas gets destroyed 5 seconds later anyway so the pact, in general, is voided. The freaky thing to note here is that Seren had Saradomin’s daughter during this moment, so Zaros would have been doomed had it not been for that Dragonkin…

• If you did not give Seren the Dark Crystal, (Eluned doesn’t matter…)

- Seren does not even attempt to rewrite the pact. (Either because she forgot she could, due to her incomplete self, or because the Dark Crystal held a great portion of her power and she knew she was nowhere near eclipsing Zaros’ pact’s power without it.) She will also not even attempt so even if Zaros was sabotaged. Again, the stone of Jas gets destroyed anyway so his pact doesn't matter. :P

tl;dr Seren will try to attempt to rewrite Zaros' pact no matter what as long as she has the Dark Crystal. She will always lose to Zaros if he is fully restored with the Dark Simulacrum. Otherwise, Seren w/ the Dark Crystal and Zaros sabotaged, she will remodify it.

EITHER WAY, whatever happens, Seren promptly returns Saradomin’s daughter by the end of the quest, whether he won the race or not or whether the pact was re-modified or not. The alliance with Seren and Armadyl still goes through with Seren moving the Aviansie to Tarddiad, whether he won the race or not, too. I'm not sure what happened if Zamorak, Zaros, or Seren herself won the race. Seren would have probably tried to rebound Zamorak's pact, too.

Raven said that Seren’s actions were more "reasonable" than Zaros with her intentions in that she planned from the very beginning to "liberate" the girl as well as liberate Saradomin/Armadyl from Zaros's control by any means possible.

Seren was pretty much a damn heroine in this quest. She didn't try to manipulate anyone or anything. She just wanted to help everyone be free from their deals with her brother, and her good karma almost got her the Stone, too, in her niceness had it not been for those meddling Dragonkin!

(Shoutout to JivaSoul for telling me about the stream. :D )

EDIT:

The stream can be found on their Twitch channel (the 6+ hour stream.) The conversations about the pacts are around 4:30-5:00-the end)

Zaros bribed Armadyl by threatening to exterminate the Aviansie if he did not hand over the SoJ.

The more I read about Zaros with this quest, the less and less I trust him.

I'm being reaffirmed of my decision to join Armadyl.

And though I didn't have a bad view of Seren, this quest is improving my view of her too.

Ehh... I fixed my original post. What Armadyl wanted from Zaros in the pact was a little vague, but going back over the transcription, Armadyl might have asked Zaros to protect his Aviansies, rather than threaten to exterminate thm. Though, it can be interpreted that way...

This confirms that my decision to fully restore Seren and sabotage Zaros was right.
Bad thing is that I saw none of this in the quest and we need pages of forum threads to actually know what has happened in the quest.

I also want to note that while I lost the race with Arma (I was way later to the stone than him), when I arrived he was just standing there saying nothing. According to the first post I should have seen the version where Seren casts the spell to modify Zaros's pact with Armadyl. The game behaved as though I have won and let me claim the stone for myself.

Good thread. Also good to know that Seren still is bae.

I feel kinda bad about restoring Zaros now, but at the time he was a pretty alright dude who wanted to stop the Elder gods. Shame he now is obsessed with becoming one himself.
I think he still means well but as I said in another thread, I disagree with his attitude and some of his methods.

EDIT: Part of this may have been influence from meeting the Chthonians as well.
