Yu'biusk
was a very prosperous, marshy realm inhabited by goblins, hobgoblins, ogres, orks and ourgs who lived primitively as hunter-gatherers. It had a very agreeable climate and unique and very large flora. Before Gielinor's First Age, the war god Bandos arrived and took Yu'biusk and its inhabitants as his own. He turned the races into war machines, taught them religion, agriculture and metalwork, and interbred them to create hybrid races such as the fayrgs and raurgs. Soon, the once pristine realm was turned into an utter hellhole ravaged by war as Bandos manipulated his followers, who had been turned into mindless worshippers and soldiers of his and divided into separate tribes, to fight battles for his amusement. They built structures in his honour, such as his great throne room, located in the side of a mountain. In the Second Age, seeing that Guthix was no longer there to protect Gielinor, Bandos brought some of his followers there, aiming to rule both worlds. After being banished from there after the God Wars (which saw the near-extinction of Gielinorian orks and ourgs and the complete extinction of raurgs and fayrgs), an immensely infuriated Bandos returned to his remaining followers on Yu'biusk and, in his rage, tore the entire planet asunder as he invoked wars so great that literally all life was wiped out. He would remain on Yu'biusk indefinitely, watching his guidance-less followers on Gielinor and planning his return. In 5.169, he resurrected a dead Dorgeshuun goblin named Zanik and intended to use her as the avatar for his return as the Chosen Commander he had promised the goblins would some day appear to lead them to victory, and lured her to Yu'biusk, where he kidnapped her and set his plan in motion. His plan was thwarted as Zanik and her friend, an adventurer, defeated the avatar of Bandos (who had had to make do with Bighead, a goblin high priest, instead) in his throne room, weakening the war god significantly.

He left Yu'biusk after the fall of the Edicts of Guthix and set foot on Gielinor once more, only to be killed in battle by Armadyl and his army.

Zamorak's world
is a place spoken of by Arianwyn. It may well be Freneskae, the fiery realm where Zamorak stayed during the Fourth Age, or something else entirely. The Dark Lord whom the Iorwerth Clan were trying to return was said to reside on Zamorak's world, but this was not true. It's commonly believed to the be RuneScapian metaphor for "hell".

4.2) Islands and archipelagos

¤ Located in the Unquiet Ocean,
Ape Atoll
is the home to the monkeys that worship Marimbo. The southern part of the tropical island is a dangerous jungle inhabited by a variety of extremely vicious and venomous scorpions, spiders and snakes, as well as some birds. I contains rare teak and mahogany trees and an entrance to the extensive tunnel network beneath the island, created by gnomes. The northern half contains the monkey capital Marim.

¤
Ashdale
is a cliff-top island in the Unquiet Ocean, south of the Feldip Hills. It was founded several centuries ago by unknown settlers. The inhabitants are mainly Saradominist and live off agriculture and fishing, with supplies frequently coming in as the island has a decently sized port. In 5.169, a necromancer named Morwenna attacked the island with zombies but was stopped in the chapel by two adventurers. A few months later, the Crassians living in the expansive caves beneath the island emerged and attacked, kidnapping the island's residents and intending to convert them into Crassians as well. The same adventurer who had stopped Morwenna was dispatched to help out and successfully slew the Crassians' leader Agoroth and released the abducted people.

¤ Directly south of Mos Le'Harmless lies the unforgivingly named
Bloodsplatter Isle
, a rocky island in the Eastern Sea. It was home to the zomboat and barrelchest factory of Mi-Gor and Mechanical Murphy, both in the service of Rabid Jack, but this has been partially destroyed.

¤ Just off the northern coast of Morytania the gloomy
Botany Bay
may be found, where Matthew Hopscotch is all too eager to sentence and punish the evil bots that are in the world.

¤ Actually two rocky islands connected by a bridge,
Braindeath Island
in the Eastern Sea houses the headquarters and his crew - and their (in)famous 'rum' factory. To the north is a dormant volcano. The island has been invaded by the crew of The Inebriated , who are building a mutated crab army for Rabid Jack.

¤
Cairn Isle
is a small island west of Shilo Village connected to Karamja by a weak suspended bridge. Beneath it is the tomb of Prince Bervirius.

¤ A volcanic island in the Unquiet Ocean,
Crandor
was the home of a flourishing human civilisation that began some time in the Fourth Age. Famous for its bold adventurers and wise scholars, Crandor remained one of the great human kingdoms in the Fifth Age, until in 139 the green dragon Elvarg was awakened in the volcano and laid waste to the island, utterly destroying it.

¤ Named after what happened to the 10th Squad of the gnomish Royal Guard,
Crash Island
is a small tropical island in the Unquiet Ocean not too far from Ape Atoll. The two are very similar, being covered mostly in jungle.

¤ Feared by the pirates is the infamous
Cursed Archipelago
somewhere in the southern Eastern Sea, known for the dark magic that is said to haunt the area. It was the base of Rabid Jack and his fleet until it was defeated in a large naval battle. However, his crew have since returned as zombies, suggesting the archipelago may serve as headquarters once more.

¤ Originally a Saradominist outpost used during the God Wars,
Dragontooth Island
is a peaceful small island east of Morytania nowadays. Beneath, however, is a dungeon full of celestial dragons, discarded Dragonkin experiments with white dragons.

¤ Being the location where Saradomin first arrived to Gielinor, the isle of
Entrana
is a holy island to the Church of Saradomin. As a result no armour or weaponry is allowed on it. Just south-west of Asgarnia, it is inhabited mainly by peaceful monks. The High Priest of Saradomin also resides here, including Leo V, a high priest from the mid-Fifth Age, famous for his prophecies. It is famous for its great library too. However, the elder god Bik is "resting" beneath the island, if it isn't the island itself. The Sleeper is also located here, one of the statues crafted by the Elder Kiln.

*
Etceteria
is one of the Fremennik islands in the Lunar Sea. Although the two kingdoms previously had a rivalry, it is now part of a kingdom along with Miscellania, ruled by King Vargas, Queen Sigrid and their regent. Teak and mahogany trees are known to grow on Etceteria.

¤ Somewhere off the coast of Morytania lies
Fossil Island
, where Varrock Museum is planning to sent an archaeological mission to once they get their canal barge ready (a project which has failed many times). A Dragonkin is known to live on the island.

¤ Once a peaceful retreat where monks spread the word of Saradomin, the isle of
Harmony
hasn't quite been so tranquil since the invasion of Mi-Gor and his crew, on one of Rabid Jack's ships. It is home to a colony of puffins.

¤
Hazelmere's Island
is a series of small, jungly islands connected by bridges just east of Yanille. There is a simple wooden hut on them which was the residence of the late gnome legend Hazelmere.

¤ As its name suggests, the
Iceberg
is an iceberg in the Lunar Sea. It was discovered recently by The Pescallion, emperor of Palingrad, whose son Pescaling Pax managed to imprison a number of dangerous icelords inside. It became a research facility for the KGP, with Pax as its head. It is also the place where army recruits are trained.

¤ North of the Coal Trucks one may find
Isla Anglerine
, a small island known for its many species of fish. It is also where a frequently occurring competition takes place between fishermen.

¤ Named after its first king,
Jatizso
is one of the two Fremennik Isles in the Lunar Sea and in a feud with its neighbour Neitiznot. The town on it is heavily fortified and most citizens are poor as the cruel king Sorvo(t_t} IV forces them to pay lots of taxes. Despite the assassination of the Ice Troll King, the island is still at war with the dangerous ice trolls just north of it.

¤
Karamja
is a very large tropical island in the Unquiet Ocean. Covered mostly in jungle, it is home to many tribal jungle communities, such as that of Tai Bwo Wannai, the Rantuki tribe or the elusive Kharazi tribe. Its north-eastern part is called Musa Point, where the Karamja Volcano is located as well as a banana plantation. The pirate settlement Brimhaven is found west of that. The dense and dangerous Kharazi Jungle forms the southern part of the island. Centrally located is the famous Jade Vine Maze, where various aggressive and poisonous animals live among the roots of a huge Jade Vine plant. Jogres, jadinkos and underground tombs filled with undead are not an uncommon sight on the island, which has its own pantheon of gods.
