¤ The
Lunar Sea
surrounds the various islands north and north-west of the Fremennik Province, named after the crescent-shaped Lunar Isle. Beneath its waters are the caves of the Dagannoth race. The exact details of its relation to the Northern Sea is unknown, but Acheron and the penguin lands may well lie in the Lunar Sea as well.

¤ Sprinkled with small islands, the
Mountain Camp Lake
is a large, strangely bubbling lake in the Troll Country, just south of Trollweiss Mountain. It is where Asleif Hamals{dot}{tir} was killed by a man in a bear suit years ago.

* The
Northern Sea
is a sea with rather cold waters that lies north of the Wilderness. The Thalassus, a sea monster whom a couple of mermaids from the Wushanko Isles took with them, resides here as well.

¤ The
River Noumenon
is said to be an endless river separating Gielinor from the Grim Underworld. The souls of the dead are taken to it by Harold Death Esquire, after which a ferryman (previously Alathazdrar, an Avernic demon) transports them to the gates of the underworlds, where Icthlarin, and previously Amascut, stands vigil.

¤ Seemingly starting somewhere in the mountains of Silvarea, the
River Salve
serves as the border between Misthalin and Morytania and flows directly south, discharging into the Eastern Sea. Around the middle there is a large lake, with a small run-off river to or from the Digsite, with a small island in the middle, beneath which is a massive cave known as the Polypore Dungeon. After the Misthalin-Morytania War, the river was blessed so that the evil of Morytania could not cross it, although very powerful creatures have the ability to pass regardless, albeit with great effort.

¤ The
Unquiet Ocean
, sometimes called simply the Southern Sea, is an expansive body of water south of the known continent. It contains many tropical islands, including Karamja, Ashdale and Ape Atoll, which must mean its waters generally warm. Its name would suggest that they aren't very calm, however but many ships travel on it daily nonetheless. It is home to many tropical species of flora and fauna and the mogres also have a camp beneath its waters.

¤ The
Western Sea
is an ocean west of Tirannwn and the elf lands. Soul Wars Island is located in it, and the islands visited by ARMS may as well, although they may also be located in the Unquiet Ocean.

5) ORGANISATIONS
¤
This chapter is about the various organisations in the world.

5.1) Military organisations
¤
Organisations that have combat purposes or at least a military branch are included here.

¤
ARMS
is an organisation founded by Lord Marshal Brogan, a war veteran. He had trouble finding a leader for the expeditions to faraway lands he and his fellow veteran desired, and therefore founded ARMS, which would fund expeditions commanded by anyone who wished to do so. On 13 Raktuber 5.138, when a group of elves came to raid the under-construction command centre in the south-west of the Feldip Hills, Brogan recruited them and they joined ARMS. In Novtumber 142, the humans of ARMS threatened to storm of the officers' tower if their wage wouldn't increase from 50%. Brogan offered them 80% and they accepted, after which an expedition to goblin-inhabited volcanic islands was commissioned. As Brogan had planned, the goblins and humans battled and Brogan recruited the goblins, led by his old acquaintance Shuddergob, for ARMS, at only 20%. On 32 Ire of Phyrrys 163, a dwarf emissary of Supreme Commander Bisi of the Dwarven Black Guard was brought to Brogan stuffed inside a pie and offered for dwarf recruits to join ARMS to learn the basics of warmongering. Brogan agreed, the dwarves getting 20% of the cut with the rest split down the middle between ARMS and the Black Guard. As of 169, there seems to be trouble within ARMS. Junior Cadet Finda claims to be close to unravelling a large conspiracy, while H.A.M. agent Bertol has infiltrated their ranks, aiming to dispose of the "disgusting" goblins by sabotaging units and supplies. Gnomes have also joined ARMS since. Brogan continues to lead the organisation, with War-chief Reeves, Commander Loman and Sergeant Cole serving under him.

¤ The
Army of Zaros
was the main military force in the Zarosian empire. In the early Second Age, when Zaros had only just arrived, it consisted mainly of the twelve demonic legions he had claimed from Hostilius the Autocrat on Infernus, as well as vampyres from Vamp(yr)um. The leaders at that point where presumably the vamp(yr)ic nobility, such as House Drakan, for the latter, and the twelve Chthonian dukes for the former. The First Legion was commanded by Duke Nemesis the Inescapable, the Third by Duke Orcus, the Fourth by Ceres, the Sixth by Sucellus, the Seventh by Picus, an unknown one by Cacus and the Twelfth by Quirinius. As the empire expanded and more races joined Zaros' cause, the army's composition greatly changed. The Mahjarrat became the successors of the demonic dukes, in a way. Zamorak the Scourge became the Legatus Maximus of the army, second only to Zaros himself. Beneath him were several legates, including Wahisietel, Hazeel, Zemouregal, Viggora and Char. Their lieutenants were the tribunes, such as Kharshai, Ralvash, Lamistard, Lakosta, Akthanakos, Untrad, Lucien and Kolton. The Dragon Riders, Ilujan(k)a whom Zaros had recruited on Iaia, also held high positions, as did several tsutsaroth demons such as Thammaron and Zebub. Humans were the lowliest soldiers in the army. During the God Wars, when Zarosians were being exterminated, the Army of Zaros was reduced to nothing over the course of centuries. After Zamorak's betrayal, Azzanadra, the Pontifex Maximus, beneath whom other were pontifices such as Mizzarch, Pal(k)eera, Bilrach, Enakhra, Nabor and Jhallan, essentially became the leader of the Zarosian military. Nex, a particularly powerful Nihil, too, became a general.

¤ The
Burthorpe Imperial Guard
are the loyal military force of Prince Anlaf of Burthorpe and defend the town against the troll invaders. They are the primary combatants in the Burthorpe - Troll Country War. While they hold some jurisdiction in other parts of Asgarnia, they are rivals of the White Knights of Falador and usually remain in Burthorpe, training and patrolling the streets daily. The highest commanders are Denulth and Lord Radebaugh; beneath them are the majors Mary Rancour and Nigel Corothers; further down are captains Jute and Haskell; then the sergeants such as Hartman; the corporals, Shaun Keymans and the Boothe brothers; and finally the privates, such as Godric, Harold and Isold. The Imperial Guard can be recognised by their characteristic claws, which they use in battle, although they have an archery division as well.

¤ The
Dwarven Black Guard
are the primary military force of the Dwarven Realm and are a very old order. It is even possible that Captain Gozdaron, who became the first king of Keldagrim, was already an officer of the Black Guard. There are several subdivisions of the Black Guard, each in a different part of the dwarven territory, and all report to Supreme Commander Bisi in Keldagrim. Until 5.169, Commander Veldaban was the head of the Keldagrim division, and Lieutenant Brae took over after his resignation.

Commander Yodri is part of a roving division tracking down goblin raiders while Commander Blenheim is the military leader of the Ice Mountain colony. Colonel Grenda, head of the First Regiment, is a hardy officer in Keldagrim, as was Colonel Grimsson until the Battle of Barendir. Finally, Captain Lawgof is the commander of the Black Guard at the Coal Trucks, fighting the goblin threat. Of course, there are many privates, such as Gilob, Vaeringk and Thak. The Black Guard were at war with the Barendir troll colony, but King Veldaban established a peace treaty and the two fought the Red Axe's chaos army together. The Black Guard traditionally use warhammers in battle.

*
Crux Eqal
are an ancient, secret organisation of druids. At the end of the God Wars, Guthix tasked them with the protection of the Fist of Guthix site along with the Guardian of Guthix Fiara. It is unknown exactly how long this lasted, but the order seemingly disbanded at one point. At the end of the Fifth Age, the druid Thaerisk Cemphier reassembled the order and druids organised themselves under the name Crux Eqal to combat the threat of the Mahjarrat, Lucien in particular. In an alliance with the Guardians of Armadyl and the Temple Knights, Crux Eqal worked to stop Lucien and his spy network, but ultimately failed as he obtained the Stone of Jas. He was later slain by Dragonkin after the 18th Ritual of Rejuvenation, but two of the leaders of the alliance died.

Later, Thaerisk joined the Guardians of Guthix to protect their god from invaders seeking to kill him as a representative of Crux Eqal. He fought the troops of Bandos in battle, and later the army of the Icyene Zilyana. In the end, Guthix was assassinated, leaving Crux Eqal's efforts, once again, in vain. Apart from Thaerisk, a known member of the organisation is Ivy Sophista.

* The
Falador City Guard
are the primary police force in Falador, guarding the walls and streets and keeping order in the city. They have a fairly low life expectancy as roving criminals often kill the wall guards, such as the late Billy and Bob. The City Guard fought the Kinshra in the Siege of Falador, led by officers such as Colonel Payne and Captain Ingrew.

* The
Forlorn Souls
are a group of mercenaries based in Edgeville.

The Godless
are an organisation founded by B(ieh)n and Kara-Meir shortly after the death of Guthix in 5.169. They have members of many races, some of which former Guthixians, who think that the world would be better off without the gods and wish it to be free of them, not unlike Guthix. They had agents in both camps during the Battle of Lumbridge and actively participated in the battle between Armadyl and Bandos, assaulting their caravans and outposts. When Brassica Prime and Marimbo faced off in Lumbridge, Kara attempted to prevent a conflict, but was met with a barrage of cabbages and monkey dung, after which Holstein only remained, who was being patronised by Brassica and flirted with by Marimbo, to his great dismay. There are disagreements within the organisation, with some wanting to peacefully get rid of the gods while others are more militant. Apart from Kara, Bie(h)n and Holstein (who is recruiting people in Port Sarim), known members are the demon Ux, the Icyene Garlandia, the mountain troll Fossil (somehow) and formerly the Dorgeshuun goblin Zanik.
