....I know I sound like a broken record at this point, but don't you guys think you're taking morality in a video game a bit too seriously? Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. An all encompassing force of evil that will remain ever-threatening and use chaos to make the peoples of Gielinor tolerate each other, grow strong together, and fight side by side against this evil. I am that villain.

Sometimes though according to sociology, can't they influence our behaviors irl? For example the study showed that violent video games sometimes lead to increased aggression even though they don't carry out violence.

Anyway.. I think we should agree to disagree on things, not just you and I, but all of us.

Back to the OPs problem. It all depends on what you want.
If you want to better yourself, to become the best you that you can be.. then go with Zaros.
If you want justice. If you want peace for all beings ruled by a benevolent god.. Armadyl.
If you want... Elves? Harmony! That's the word, harmony. Basically Balance without the whole "Volcano destroying an entire race" thing.. Seren is your Goddess. A
World Guardian
must learn to find
Balance
in themselves.
Only then can they
Control
themselves and forge their own
Fate .

OP bumped it. Adventurers just fueled it. Runescape doesn't need a hero...it needs a villain. Just think of what the world would be like if they were in charge.

Armadyl-- VERY Lawful, probably very low crime rate, everyone would most likely be nicer to eachother, so no H.A.M.

Seren-- Yea....She just want a sanctuary for her followers so the world would probably be no different with very minor changes

Zaros-- OOOH Boy. Here we go. Zaros would most probably regain his own empire again, but withdraw completely, leaving Azzy in charge. Humans would most likely be treated like scum again, demons, vyres, and any other race that deems themselves above humans would be above them.

Armadyl is my favourite ascended god. I've been Zarosian since the Temple at Senntisten and haven't thought of changing my mind, but I have no problems with helping Seren either.

I may yet change to follow a path of my own which combines the best parts of all of these factions. A community like the Armadyleans, striving to increase in power and wisdom like the Zarosians and showing love like the Serenists. A Perfect Manji theory through which, if I were to become a faction leader or a god, my followers would strive to achieve enlightenment through a tightly knit circle sharing our experiences of light and dark, fighting to protect, and seeking to solve the problems of others through a beautiful solution.

But even if I were to become a god myself, I would still help Armadyl, Zaros and Seren. I would also help Saradomin, but he needs to understand that there's more to the world than good and evil, and Zamorak but he should know not to be the cause of chaos. Chaos and problems come by themselves, and if we try to cause these problems no matter what our intentions, we will end up making enemies in the long term.

In fact, I would help anyone god or not who has a problem that needs solving. Prepare for hell on RuneScape in Naval Cataclysm!
