Azzanadra is disappointed that Lord Drakan is busy overbumping a thread and not busy being dead.

He's also disappointed I used the wrong thread for this reply.
Azzanadra is ALSO disappointed that you didn't mention Zaros in this comment.

we get it, salt in the wound sucked. now please stop bumping this thread some of us are getting tired of seeing it on the top page

Welp, I regularly bump all of my threads to prevent them from being eaten by Chewy. It's of better quality than most of the god spam anyway. If you aren't interested, simply don't read it. :) Occasionally, someone contributes to the discussion here, so the topic hasn't completely died. On a side note, you seem to have misunderstood the premise of the thread; I'm not arguing that SitW sucked (we all know that), I'm arguing why. Perhaps you should read it? ;P

(also there's a list of stuff in this thread which I use a on a regular basis)
Bizarre Boron Fusswell, scryer extraordinaire. OSRS: POH ideas & RS3 minigames & achievement ideas !

Perhaps you're half right; perhaps we can't win. But we can fight.

*Bumps the thread to annoy Morvek*
Also, wow Drakan.
"It's of better quality than most of the god spam anyway."

Such self-praise. Much assumption. Many ego. Wow

1) it's a forum thread, not a publication. When people stop posting, it dies. Bumping it beyond that point is the definition of spam, regardless of the thread's topic or quality.
2) "arguing that SITW sucked" and "arguing why SITW sucked" is an utterly meaningless distinction. You probably know this, and said it anyway just to be able to make that passive-aggressive little dig. Perfectly alright, so long as you keep in mind that you're not actually saying anything even remotely valuable.
3) if you do indeed use this thread as a personal resource, then copy all of it to Notepad or whatever and save it to your hard drive. Problem solved; you don't need to waste your time bumping an obsolete thread, it doesn't take up space on the forums, and it's easier for you to access. How wondrous.
Patrolling Lore FC almost makes you wish for a Great Revision.

So I may be committing several kinds of heresy here, but... I really do think I see and understand what Jagex was doing with SITW. They wanted to make a quest series that could be completed in its entirety by mid-level players. Which in my opinion is good, admirable even. Why should all storyline conclusions be locked behind high requirements, anyway? Throwing weaker players a bone is totally understandable, I think. And to do that, they had to make some sacrifices, like cutting the penguin connection for instance. Was this worth it? Maybe not, but I can at least see why it was done.

Thoughts.

I agree wholeheartedly with the idea of throwing low-mid level players the proverbial bone. I feel like there was just a better way to end it than with a Pillar.
Maybe have Mother Mallum weakened by something, making her vulnerable and weak, so that it becomes a mid-level boss?

Though about the pillar... might it be worth mentioning that in the original "Call of C*hulhu" the title character is defeated by a boat? Seriously.

Perhaps the pillar was dropped by Xau-Tak who got tired of Mallum's failures and wanted to replace her? It gets me thinking that it wanted Kennith to take over.
