One key thing in the arguments against Zaros say that he's very manipulative and will say whatever he has to, to get what he wants. Even IF he is lying, saying this is FAR TOO DANGEROUS. We are now AWARE of his ability to make people loyal AND of our resistance, if he suddenly starts trying to control us we are now psychologically programmed to LOOK FOR IT immediately.

Funny, looks like you've had the exact opposite reaction, given your vehement defense of Zaros and your consistent denial that he's trying to manipulate us in any way.

You've fallen hook, line and sinker, my friend. Looking forward to FOTG2 so we can get some delicious new details on Zaros' machinations.
You'd be very surprised what reactions I had. Just because I believe Zaros doesn't mean I trust him.

You'll have to clarify your position, then. I was under the impression that you thought Zaros is benevolent, with no dark ulterior motives or methods.

You know, I helped Zaros get his body back in Fate of the Gods, but something bothered me towards the end. I trusted him because (besides usually being a nice, trusting guy with most people) he couldn't lie when I questioned him in my head, right?

Only, I later remembered I only had his word to take on it that he couldn't lie. Then, I thought about his various views on the gods, and it felt like, more than anything, he was trying to placate the World Guardian regardless of what they wanted or believed in to help him survive.

Add onto that his history of manipulating mortal beings (both consciously and otherwise), and that left me a little weary to take him at face value. I hope letting him in the ol' body during that quest doesn't negatively impact things in the future...

Well, we'll see if my feelings in that regard change for Fate of the Gods II. Zamorak and Zaros...should be interesting to say the least.

I like to believe that he is, and I'm convinced as such.

That doesn't mean I don't expect to be wrong.

So, you just expect that Jagex will upend your conviction?
I expect to be wrong about something at some point. I believe that I'm right, but I don't necessarily believe that I'm right about being right.

I don't see how "I want to be elder god by damaging Gielinor more, waking them up which my plan could fail. It's my birth right." is not proving you wrong, But hey, hope soon you see.

well, zaros does have far more plot armour than the elder gods do, so I really dont think they'll just laugh and then curbstomp him. This isnt game of thrones
