In what debased, eldritch dimension would Zaros ever be compelled to say something as hideously childish and insipid as "You destroy my things" or "You are supposed to be loyal"? What overarching narrative purpose allows the god of fate to sound like a cognitively defective Furby?

How would you have phrased it?

I was trying to make him sound petulant and possessive.

"You are supposed to be loyal" fits quite well.

But "You destroy my things", even if you did want to make him sound petulant, Zaros is well spoken in Fot* at all times, Even for people who wrecked his new body.

"You destroy my possessions" would of been better. Sounds petulant enough and fits with his manner of speech.

Most of the quest dialogue needs to be made re-written so that SOME degree of consistency is maintained throughout all quests. It's hard to take the story seriously when characters (most glaringly Sliske) suddenly become someone else as the plot moves forward.

Uh... that being said, I think "things" in this case (though not a quest) is not an irresponsible use of speech in the slightest and actually works just fine. "Possessions" would be an apt replacement but has -- in my opinion -- a harsher connotation of proprietorship.

Okay, so, I know this isn't the right thread, but it's a 'righter' thread than any other; seeing as it's frequented by the Mahj-Chth-Zar-Bandos-Lore Mod, who will probably troll up some answers for my questions/theories.

I was thinking 'bout the Mahjarrat. They don't eat and if they didn't have mouths, they'd probably have different ways of communication, so why do they have mouths?

An old theory that was floating around was that ingesting food could increase (very minimally) the duration between rituals, only when the Mahj is in a fleshed state. But as we've learned from Hazeel's memory, the very thought of absorbing food into one's body sickens him. But, oddly, fully equip with a tongue, teeth, throat, and a working (reverse) peristaltic system to go with it. They were pale imitations of Zaros, who has no mouth, and yet these oddballs do.

What else differentiates them from Zaros is the concept of a definite, biological gender. So I says to myself, I says "Ness, you know dis stuff, what could act as an explanation for seemingly useless, yet functional, organs on a (presumably) ******** reproducing species and aren't all flashy like peacock feathers?".

Why, Mahjarrat digestive tracks are part of their (female's) reproductive system! Nihil make use of propagating by harvesting elder energy, and presumably Mahjarrat did too through the use of rituals, but what if that isn't available and some other, less efficient source is? Well, it would be other creatures, flora and fauna.

So digestion to harvest energy from other sources acts as (less effective) way to get the energy needed to conceive, grow, support, and latter nourish
(presumably using the more mammalian parts of their anatomy (I mean the female has broad hips and "funbags" (the other word is censored, this is better, apparently) while the males don't))
an infant who has no energy of their own (yet) to properly function.

Thoughts, people?

Late night + Boredom= This.

To the above post,

It was confirmed that after some time had passed on Gielinor, Enakhra, the only whole Mahjarrat we have seen in-game, went to get a makeover at the Mage, changing her appearance to one more... feminine (which IMO explains her sudden change in skin color below her head). While your theory may be plausible, I'm not sure if it could be entirely true.

PS: I believe the proper term should be "mammalian glands", not "funbags"( O_o )

The simple answer is that they were created in Mah's image, and Mah has a mouth.

In other words: Nah.
"We call it being a hero"
"That's interesting, we call it utter stupidity"

Why does Mah have a mouth? We powered her up by doing some divination which, at no point during it, did she bend down with a straw and chug that juice.

LOL. K, even if that is canon, why would she get features added to make her appear more attractive to humans?

Apparently it is to appear more attractive to Zamorak, but I'm pretty sure it was so they didn't have to make another retexture of her (like the Echo of Jas was just a retexture of dragon armor because reasons).

BOOOOOO BORING

I'm just kidding, but if the DoM were made in her image, why does Zaros have a prosthetic mouth, as compared to Mah's natural one?
