I would like to partake in this part of the game, but as a legit player....
Some hours i just get 2-3 people visiting my fully maxed house as i can't compete with the cheaters.... please do something

You're a brand new host--give it time! We often find a house that's built right for our needs and isn't too crowded and then use it as our regular. Also, hosting as long as possible each day will help people recognize your house.

2-3 people ain't bad for first 3 days! Think of it like pvm. We don't get the Cerb or Zulrah mechanics down the first couple tries, let alone the Zuk mechanics, but you'll get there eventually. (Same with most parts of the game, streaming, etc) Good luck!

One suggestion, tho take it with a grain of salt, if I were looking on the ad board for a house to use, I'd think your name might be an alt or bot, kinda like how I avoid batmans houses cuz there's so many with that same name. Just an idea to get your community growing! GL!

I have sent a report email to jagex on tipoff again, this is now the 5th post in a month, also let them know about impersonation of account names and stuff as well, these people seem to be unbanable xD..

Well at least they are naming their bots after me now I feel privillaged.

Where jagex are on this, I really do not know, I cannot rember the last time botting, distruptive behaviour where allowed, especially creating usernames then botting with those usernames then spreading miss information with those usernames.

Its a nightmare honestly, every real host I have spoken to this month has no traffic, I am the only real host whos holding traffic, its just getting rather pointless.

Ive had the r word, the p word, the s word nearly every word aimed at me this month and nothings been done, no reports are going though..im not sure if they got me on some shaddow block list ban or whats going on..

This does not seem fair in the slightest..i guess im just going to have to keep trying to get stuff out there regarding this.

How is this even related to the topic of the post? If people call you names then you should add them to your ignore list.

Jagex has these features for a reason. Use them.

Your continued gaslighting and manipulation of others will only put people against you. The forum moderators, player mods, and jagex mods all do their best to help the game. It is in your best interest to support them and their progress instead of hinder it.


As I’ve stated before, if you want to fix the issues with POH botting, mod ash already responded to your twitter post and recommends filling up the burners with noted marrentil. This solves the issues of bots without adversely affecting the greater player base from enjoying world 330.

There is no relation I don’t see but the thing I do see is a vast bastion of people who cheat the game by using/paying bots (advertisers and lighters) that are very toxic in defending their territory.

I do know people also light legit for other people, but just looking at your name it is obvious you are in the middle of what I see as the toxic/cheating group so you might be gaslighted/overdefending them.

The worst part is, they “outsource” the cheating/toxic/bad part so “no blame falls on them”

Hey Mikayel, thank you for taking the time to write about your experience here. The best thing we can do is to report these players and send a more in depth explanation to Jagex via [email protected] , this is where you can provide evidence of the current abuse of player owned housing. For any change to be made, it'll take many of us to follow through with this as well as discuss ideas on how we can improve the experience for everyone here on this Forum.

With that being said, I would love to hear your ideas on how we can combat the current state of player owned housing to make it more fair for all people and not just a select few who clearly abuse the system.

A summary of the ideas myself and others have had thus far include;

- Removal of the tip jar.
- Making a sort of ledger in a second window on the ad. board. This would include how long a
player has been hosting in a game session and how much people have donated to hosts.
- Improving banning disruptive players from a player owned house (fixing current bugs, etc).
- Removing spam and brazier lighting bots.
- Hosts being kicked from their house and subsequently all players in it if the host is idle for
x-amount of minutes.
- Expanding the advertising board to accommodate more players.

What's your next goal?? I saw you joked it is to become marrentill bot I saw haha, but for real, it's good to have a real tangible goal. That's, to me, what keeps the game fresh. Let me know if you want any ideas and I can PM you! Cheers
