ok i'll rebuild my post without using names this time :)

As a new host that sticks to the rs rules this is my view:

The w330 poh "industry" is currently mostly run by a small group of people who either use bots or pay. other people to use bot for advertising or lighting their altar to have a continuous active house (possibly on throwaway account that hide in the masses).
To protect their business they are very toxic towards others (new people like me or people who question/challenge them).

Currently it is almost impossible to "make it" in this world because the cheating and paying people grants an unfair advantage that currently can't be matched by legit players

Most people find a host they like the layout of and stick to it regardless of the ad board. They only venture out when that person isn't logged in.

I would assume that's what makes hardest for a new host. I always use zlutz house when they're on. I used to use xgrace till he stopped hosting. We tend to be loyal to our people.

Some houses' layouts aren't the same so we rely on ones we know. Indeed, someone below level 99 might not have as useful a house, so yet another reason lit altar might be struggling. I still think it's because it's been just a few days, that's not a long time to build a community. No streamer would expect to have more than a few people in their stream a mere week into it....

Please don't base your opinion on random assumptions...

I have 99 construction, i have the layout that contains all usefull stuff that maxes the advertisement board... I have/do everything a legit player can do to max out in poh hosting.
Besides the fact that it has been just a few days there is an obvious gap between what "the top" is achieving and defending by cheating and being toxic and what i can achieve

It wasn't a random assumption: incense bot claimed you don't have 99 con and that's why you aren't at top of ad board. Anyway, familiarity is still key, and that takes time to build. Ive noticed slightly different layouts even among the top, established hosts like zlutz and xgrace

Anyway good luck building a community! Try to focus on a good attitude and effective layout. The ad board can only do so much. I personally haven't seen your name on it yet, so keep at it! People will notice and enjoy your good vibes and layout

You have hosted for less than a week, and you feel you should be "beat"ing the "existing bastion". You also are 100% sure that the established hosts are cheating, with your evidence being that you "see" it. This type mentality is not the way to build a community. Rome was not built in a day, and blaming your lack of immediate success on systemic issues doesn't behoove you.

And johnor... Where to begin. I'm surprised rabbitmeds supports behaviors and posts like these. Quite clear that these critiques are coming from a biased, unclear place based on assumptions about others' cheating and vast conspiracy theories about Jagex as a whole. Without concrete specific evidence.

I still see a place for noobs and people needing money burning. I still see a place for the ad board. I still don't see any of this, though, as a priority for most of the community nor Jagex. I do like mod ashs idea though. Have u touched based with mod ash on Twitter, johnor?
