Jagex is pushing MTX mechanics into RS3 ironman mode too now, if you don't want a popup asking you to get involved into out of game purchases everytime do not play RS3, it is in bad faith now to suggest OSRS players to try RS3 ironman to avoid mtx. If you are done with osrs take solace in the fact that osrs has the larger playerbase and to entice them Jagex will have to eventually remove MtX and iron out the shortcomingd to entice them. Just take a 1-2 year break but do not tru RS3. Premier benefits already are overpowered and change the whole Meta for rs3 ironman mode. But now they are pushing yaktrack gambling in the ironman mode.
Needless to say some people do get caught in the trap, if you sre againdt mtx dont touch rs3 with a 80 feet pole.
You are it totally wrong. It was IM in RS3 asked for the being able to buy certain MTX items and Jagex honored their requests. First, they wanted SGS cosmetics, then they wanted Auras. Not that Jagex "pushed" MTX to IM, it was the other way years ago when IM began to care less about MTX.
^^
Nobody said "rs3 iron supposedly has zero mtx". The only misconception is OSRS apologists insisted "bond is not MTX".
RS3 ironman could then and can now to use Bond for some content. There is no difference now and then except now all of a sudden Jagex (proably are advised to, by regulation agencies) acknowledged Bond is MTX.

everytime someone anywhere asks they want to try rs3 but dont like all the "intrusive" mtx they are suggested to make an rs3 ironman that thought process is faulty and has to change. The proper answrr should be if you dont like mtx do not try rs3, because the casino always wins and you will eventually be targeted by these promotiond to pay up. Jagex is a company and justified to make as much money as they want, but players shouldnt lie to each other just because one game is empty.
Err! RS3 FSW absolutely doesn't allow IM, yet the big OSRS sponsored long time content creator J1mmy played and recommended it, of course not and can't be an IM.

i have seen his videos and he doesnt even seem like someone who actively plays osrs he just likes the social aspecy of that gamr and goes around asking weird questions to players and that too always on f2p. One can even argue he is strictly against paying anything to jagex not even membership money.
He liked rs3 the same way he liked osrs leagues, its fast and its not something that runs forever.
Don't you realize Jagex, to be more precise OSRS, paid him to create content for OSRS. He is one of, if not the most, popular OSRS Youtuber making a weekly OSRS video for the last few years.
Rs3 still sucks there’s no arguing it. It’s not the RuneScape we know and love, it’s just a scum game with mtx and heavier grind than osrs without the charm.
I tried to like rs3 believe me but it sucks so bad I can’t. Maybe the people who only play rs and no other games might like it because they need non stop grind from RuneScape
Non-stop grind from Runescape? That's why those who don't like or don't have time for non-stop grind come to RS3. We have vast variety of ways to earn xp from a skill. There can be 0 repetitive grinding efforts if one prefers. We also have the 5-minutes-a-day kind of daily challenges like Mod Kelvin testified to the UK Parliament when he was questioned about the "never ending grind" of Jagex's games.
I don't know if everybody who plays non-Jagex games like RS3, but we are talking about the far far far more grindier OSRS in this thread. I can definitely see some of the OSRS players who hate the grind there may like RS3.
