there's only one side to it and that is if something is advertised as being discontinued then it should be as such.

Yet jagex never said for 100% certainty that they were discontinued.
They did with the selection of words they chose to advertise the product.

This has already been answered on the first and second pages of this thread.

If an item is only available for a certain time, it can't be obtained afterwards.

If it is your last chance to obtain an item at a certain time, it can't be obtained afterwards.

That's the "100% certainty" that you demand. The words left no loopholes.

They can make money, but they can do that regardless, so i don't know why they chose the immoral way of doing so.

You're the only one saying its immoral.

So what they think is "moral" or not is, ofc, different from yours.
I'm not only one who thinks it immoral. Go ask anyone and i'm sure everyone will agree.
In this case the definition of 'moral' isn't subjective: there's only one side to it and that is if something is advertised as being discontinued then it should be as such. Recontinuing it is immoral.

You're both overcomplicating this.

Jagex said they wouldn't return. Therefore they shouldn't have returned.

That was the "old" jagex though and if you care to remember, the Chinese company or w.e recently took over so they have new rules now.

Now, can we please return to the topic of this thread?

Maybe Jagex should simply discontinue discontinued Solomon items and keep all items in the store forever. Nobody will believe these types of promotions again anyway.

No support.

Jagex makes ofc more money off of things being labeled "limited" as that gets ppl into thinking it'll only happen once.

So i think the current system is fine IMO.

Well if jagex can use loop-holes for card promos and vips, then they can for rereleasing these.
Yes so then it's suddenly okay to do these unethical acts? I think not.

So because a few changes happened, it makes it acceptable for them to resort to such unethical methods of making money?

So you support Jagex making money via lying to and deceiving their customers?

Pretty much.

The jagex that went by the rules of keeping things "limited" or w/e is gone.

Now we just need to see how the new one goes.
