They could discontinue discontinueds orrr they could discontinue re-continuing discontinueds.

They should do both. Previously, I was a bit more lenient on being fine about them releasing more to-be-discontinued stuff, but after this fiasco, I don't want to take any risks: no support for any future discontinued stuff, although the existing ones still need to be respected.

edit: By "discontinue discontinueds" I hope you meant "discontinue making new discontinueds", but if not, that's what I meant anyway.

They actually did state that the drake will never return. I feel bad for arguing with Blackwing now, if you're out there i'm sorry. Yes they did state it was limited but that's not the point. They also officially stated that it would never return again in this sentence:
""a brand new, limited edition legendary pet called the shadow drake,
which is only available
for the next few weeks."
Keyword: only
Define only: and no one or nothing more besides; solely. (from google)
That sentence itself shows that the drake shouldn't have ever been made available again.

Well, even though this doesn't bring back the discontinuity, at least it's nice to take out that bad taste from my mouth after seeing a certain someone become a turncoat (thanks for calling them out on that btw, I wouldn't have bothered personally).

Anyhow, now that the shadow series returned and in such massive numbers, I'll return the favor and only buy stuff that are permanent additions to the store now. No more money into these cash-in promotions; **** you too, MTX team. I guess the next stuff up in the list of discontinued stuff to protect are certain premier club bonuses. If they start re-releasing those too, then there's no point to buy into those either and I might as well go back to grandfathered membership prices. Sigh.
I'm actually so sorry bro, you were right the whole time :( . And i won't ever support them on rereleasing premier club bonuses either from now. Although i personally didn't mind these things to return, i'll admit i am in the wrong and you were right about them promising things to never return and these things should never have returned.

They're pretty much the same thing almost. By "discontinue discontinueds" they can stop creating any future items advertised ad being discontinued. By "discontinue re-continuing discontinueds" they should stop rereleasing any past item that is and was discontinued. Yea it's a tongue twister i know :D

I can understand the frustration, and I personally feel they should be more transparent in their marketing of these items. At least personally, I know I'm not buying anything just because it is "limited" as a result of how many rereleases have happened.

They can't be any more transparent:

They said in May 2015 that the Shadow Drake would be " only available for the next few weeks" before it was removed from the store.

They said in July 2016 that it was the " last chance" to obtain the Shadow Dragoon outfit before it was removed from the store.
This.

Well whatever they said it was false. So you can either dwi or move on.
They said what is false? The fact that they never intended it to be discontinued?
If i was the creator of a toy, sold it under the impression that it's the last of its kind that it will never be made available again and then 6 months later rereleased the exact same toy, would you not feel cheated and deceived?

Yea, i don't care much on the fact it's returned (so "deal with it" not much really) but moreso that they think they can use words to describe a product of theirs as discontinued and then alter their stance on it later on and say it wasn't meant to be discontinued.

Well this was bound to happen as it was a good selling point, so theres not much that can be done.

Once again, if they see profit in something, it will return.

There's not much that can be done? They could've at least created similar or better yet different items and not screw over players no? Don't act like recycling the past promos is the only way to make money.
