sure, great idea draco they can sell the old untradeable holiday items for rune coins :0 then everyone wins
Whatever happened to the "this was polled so it has to happen" mentality you had when it came to arguing about the 50% vs 75% threshold? Jagex hasn't polled holiday items for runecoins, and I bet you that it'd receive less yes votes than this poll because having any kind of MTX in a P2P game like Runescape is completely unnecessary for them (Jagex) to make profit off the game. Or is it that you only care about sticking to the poll when it's convenient to you?
Either way, if Jagex were to sell holiday items for runecoins, nobody but Jagex would win: people who care about the holiday items being discontinued would get pissed, people who voted yes for the loyalty point poll even though they didn't care still wouldn't care, people who would truly care about getting the holiday items would have to pay money for something that's meant to be free, and the profit from the runecoin sales would go to back to the investors in China as dividends instead of being invested back to the game. No player of any kind would win from this.
A way for everyone to win would be to keep discontinued holiday items discontinued, and instead make new and better ones: those who care about discontinued holiday items remaining discontinued wouldn't get pissed, and every player would get something new and better than what has been served before, which would also increase membership revenue for Jagex from the act of goodwill. Just be patient: you might think that you only want the old holiday items, but there can always be something new that you'd like even better, you might just not see it if you lack the ability to think ahead.
