Jagex rewarded the loyalty of old players by giving them discontinued items during their time in the past, and they're rewarding the loyalty of current players by giving them discontinued items now, and they'll continue to do the same in the future most likely. That's the precedent that Jagex set for RS3; changing it by throwing the old players under the bus would be terrible for both, the old players instantly, and newer players in the future, by setting another precedent wherein sooner or later it's your (newer player's) turn to get thrown under the bus too, when they become the "new old" player.

This is why Jagex changed the poll threshold to 75% yes from 50% yes; you oughta think about the long term consequences, and consider them more heavily than some short term temporary gain. And besides, like said, it'd be a lot more beneficial to give something new to both sides instead.

um there are no consquencces for rerealsing these items, in fact theres a lot more benfits . they were never meant to be this way its you greedy shelfish people that made it this way. they are supposed to be fun little cosmetics to wear during the holidays . you folks dont want any players to have fun with the items as they were inteed . i mean lets look at the xmas 2016 event when they re-relaesed the events as mini quests for the main event a lot of players defintly o ver 75% of the players were upset that they didnt get the proper item for playing that old event and there were many complaints on here a lot more then you greedy money hugry non supporters that want to steal the holiday fun items you feel like your entitled to them when really you arnt this is not your game just let jagex fix the huge mistake they made with holdiay items and stop hording them from others just let others have them seriosly . jagex learned the mistake of makeing items disconuited and corrected it in osrs and now when they try to do the same the minorty refuses to let go of there items that jsut collect dust in the bank/diango. think about the communty for once and the intregity of the game not yourselvs seriously

and still didnt do the outcome.. so that is a viable example of Jagex being just

examine but even that wasnt good enough even though you would have had
your item. And that was said because i thought it would make both sides
happy.

Ladyolake are you seriously this stupid? They very well CAN still host a Runefest in New York. They didn't say they wouldn't, did they? Just like they never said these items can never come back.

There is no deadline on polls either. You cannot expect them to do everything they poll for the year within that year, even 3 or more considering they poll many things every single goddamn year. Think about priorities, as in How goddamn important is it that Runefest happens in New York THIS year? Who is to say they still will never host it there?

Obviously this update isn't prioritized to that degree, but that still doesn't mean it cannot happen. So you are ignorant for thinking they physically said they will never do anything with these two polls.

I've told you before that I ACCEPTED YOUR COMPROMISE of separating them through examine. Only under MY compromise that it is a politically correct form of saying it, which I gave you a modern day example which already exists in game, and I even said "I'd rather not, but I'd even support them adding (Original) to what already exists, just for these items."

It's only you guys not compromising.

nobody gets thrown under any bus you ignorant troll. There is no "Threshold" that absolutely must be met for a change to happen. Otherwise the game might never change at all.

Certainly they aren't stupid enough to set a precedent and expect it to be perfect for all eternity. Things change. The Gowers are gone and MTX is in the game now. People can p2w now. Did that pass your damn 75%?

Something new will always be given to both sides in all events coming. You stopping this update doesn't change that fact, as well as if this happens it doesn't change that fact. This update is something new for both sides as well, and this even benefits the company on top of all of us. You have items missing, I have items missing, lady has items missing.

How about this. Find me somebody with absolutely every single holiday item and then tell me that this suggestion doesn't offer something NEW FOR EVERYBODY. Stop making excuses.

Still failed to acknowledge that I accepted your compromise option long ago. Under a small compromise of my own, rewording it, and using a method of showing that already exists, with the new word incorporated.

Why that's unacceptable, and why it has to say "copy" makes literally no sense. It is a term that I think puts a sense of inferiority on that version, which isn't the case because it's the same item, just not in item form like the ones we have now. Rewording it still separates them the way you keep asking for. It keeps your value that you are asking to keep. It's the same end result as you are asking for, just using different words.

If you are agreeing with that compromise why name call?

And as I said if people getting it the same way as we got it first time is implemented
along with that "copy " or " year" then there is no problem to me.

It still leaves the distinction for those that need or want it and still lets the newer
players get the old stuff.

My only thing about this whole thread is I dont think they should be put on
solomons. After all they were not originally. And it may look to some like its
too easy to just buy them.

And as for respect find one time that I name called you or said you were stupid
for saying something or that you were ignorant or a troll? I never once made
bad remarks I just told things as I have seen them over the almost 18 years of
playing this game.

I will say again, there is litterly no way to make everyone happy. It just cannot be
done. Just like things in the past such as Shadow Drake coming back or the
shadow outfits on solomons. Those were originally released on solomons so
for them to come back the same way was still choas on the forums about it.

Should they bring back things that were earned in game and put them on the
store I think ( of course cant read future) it would be even worse.
