The bank rework will be out later this year, if I remember correctly.

Honestly the updates seem pretty cool. The Elite dungeons really seem like a good idea, and so does POF. The thing is I can't make a real decision on things till it's live. Not to mention the whole "Is the increase in members worth content". I mean...hard to say, but all I know is if you enjoy the game then paying just a tad extra won't hurt :)

Exactly this!! Just a little more for a game you enjoy makes no difference. For a monthly fee, that little bit doesn't really hurt. Most people who are complaining about this increase only want to just *complain*. I suppose if it's that much of an issue for some, I know I've made some cutbacks on things in order to pay for yearly fee, so that might be something some may want to consider, possibly.

What a ridiculous explanation to rising prices! It would have been better if you just said it was an update due to monetary inflation or something like that than such excuses. And by the way none of these updates seems thaat good for me, very poor content.
Perhaps Jagex is crashing? I wouldn't be surprised, but if that is the case than increasing prices is a terrible ideia to fix such problem.

Edit: Oh and I think most people here are complaining about USD/EUR prices. check the brazilian prices and you will understand the RAGE. The price has doubled :@

This explenation is really poor, personally I only like the farming and elite dungeons updates, the others not so much because of the delay and poor content, it would have been better if they have told us future updates for the rest of the year and not only for the summer. In my opinion it would be nice for RS3 to have updates like new regions one per year, more quests and PVM related bosses or slayer creatures that do not target a certain player population that has the money to buy the equipment to fight them easily.

Who cares if the game is slightly more expensive? You people focus on the wrong things. Worry about taxes, health care, rent--things that make a measurable impact. Inflation is what it is. You guys make more money than you did five years ago. What's a couple dollars in the grand scheme of things? I spend that much every DAY on doritos. And I'm cheap!

But I mean, it's your choice. If you want to be miserable about everything, more power to you. Hope you never have any real problems.

You don't pay anything for old school. It's a membership benefit of RS3.

Jagex offers a RuneScape membership. Play what you want to with it (I believe you have as many as 3 choices with that single membership).

Seriously.. if it's not worth it (to you - with you being anybody) then don't pay it. Y'all CAN play f2p (and using game coin you can play the full game for no real life money at all, with bonds.. in either RS3 or old school).

People are over looking the last paragraph where it states that they opened up many positions in the company and hired some new people. Everyone is whining because of the price increase and are focused on the planned updates, when they should reread that final paragraph which warrants the price increase. I bet the average age of the people whining about the price increase are less than 30 years old.
