I hope that this will be the start of a transparent and honest chain of events depending on the outcome of the opening talks. I very much appreciate the intentions by coming out openly on day one - please continue and further strengthen the transparency whilst keeping us in the loop as you move forward. I understand that you are likely extremely limited as to what you can say and how specific you can be just yet, but an actual, brutal honest, answer is so much more valuable than a vague reassurance.
I urge you to address the community without filters so we can move united another 15 years.

Good to see that Jagex is being as transparent as they can be at the moment with answering questions. I will be looking forward to further information on the matter.

I can't help but notice the answer to will the investors be involved in RuneScape isn't really answering the question.
The response to how much say the new investors will have on the direction of gameplay doesn't have much substance to it--
They're investors and invested in the success of Jagex. Jagex /should/ at least listen to what its investors have to say, since the latter might have insight on successful business models or ideas.
However, whether Jagex will comply with what their investors think would be the best course of action is a separate matter. As such, Jagex should make informed decisions based on what they're reading from the player base, as well as based on any suggestions they genuinely think are valid, suggested by the investors or otherwise. Essentially, you try convince your investors why your business model will work and allow for two-way discourse.
This would mean that your investors will have an influence on financial direction and as such, gameplay, which this thread seems to deny absolutely, so our major concern is how much?

The two things I worried about has been answered. It is good to know that the HQ is staying in the UK and this mining company will have no voice in the game development. As long as the majority of the game's contents stay European Medieval Age, I'm happy to play.
This is great news and I agree with this. After becoming informed I can live with this change.
Someone doesn't buy a company so they don't "have a voice" in the company they own, stop being delusional .
"Will this affect the levels of (or add) MTX in the games?
Simply put, no. Our approach to how we charge for the games is based on what we feel is right for each of them and that would stay the same should the acquisition happen. We don’t plan for any significant changes on this front."
i remember a day when they said MTX would decrease in numbers and it increased heavily, I wonder what "stay the same" actually means.
"Interestingly, Mod Rod was instrumental in helping us put these answers together and helped make sure these answers were consistent with what was actually going on with the discussions.
Rod's position has always been that the game development studio is doing a fantastic job and has a sensible strategy and so has not felt the need to get too involved. He trusts us enough to communicate with you guys in ways we think are appropriate - which personally, I really value."
or by not commenting on anything himself he isn't held liable to anything said here and can discredit anything posted by someone without "real authority". His words that nothing will get worse means 100x more than a community managers.
