So you're expecting this to be one of the VERY FEW companies to be gutted after Foreign Investment? Because I'm not...

Do you even know how Venture (vulture for some of you folk) Capitalism works?

Because for someone who touted about their business expertise, you seem to know **** all about that aspect of business.

If this wasn't foreign investment, then that would be true

Mate.

IVP was foreign investment.

So you're expecting this to be one of the VERY FEW companies to be gutted after Foreign Investment? Because I'm not...
Foreign investment rarely (and I really put emphasis on the word rarely) ever end in the gutting of a company, or with any changes whatsoever to a company.

Burger King buying out Tim Hortons didn't end in the gutting of Tim Hortons
Tencent Games buying out RIOT Games didnt end in the gutting of RIOT games
IBM was bought out by Lenovo, IBM was never gutted.
Foreign investment from any Country is very common and rarely ever ends in any changes.

Chinese companies sometimes dont have the best Economical growth, so to boost that growth they purchase Foreign Companies to boost their own Economical growth. They dont change the innerworkings of the company, they just profit off of it, and at the same time, the company they buy usually profits at the same time. (Again look at IBM)

Again, like I said before, you are panicking over nothing.

I just don't see anyone panicking. I see people expressing concern and putting their input in, but I don't think these behaviors can be classified as panicking.
And I swear I'm not going to let her know all the pain I have known

To be fair don't think this mining company is a corporate raider.

Really, because again, I'm backing my argument up with some pretty successful companies right about now. Would you like me to give you the dates they were purchased as well as the amount they were purchased for? I bet I could dig up about 20 more that didn't end in the gutting or the change of the company being bought as well...

And belive me cash flow issues are a hell of a lot worse than net losses.

Cuz no cash flow = no money being made. ****'s essentially just sittin there doin diddly all.

More like if there is no cash, operations cease regardless of how profitable the company may be.

Kinda what I was getting at.

No cash flow = no money being made. No money being made = liquidation of assets to meet expenses on the bottom line. Liquidation of assets = less potential of making money. Less potential of making money while no money being made = no money period over time.

Can't make money if you got nothin to make money with.

Bain Capital. Look at their track record. They're a Venture Capitalist firm much like IVP is one. There's a damn good reason why Venture Capitalism is also known as Vulture Capitalism.

Need I continue?

If they wanted to, they could fire every single person that works for jagex and close runescape.

Not even that.

If their yes man decides to say no, they can simply unanimously decide to fire the CEO (and other executives if they so choose) and put in people that are not only yes men, but yes sir men.

Creative Freedom means diddly **** when you put this into context.

Again, completely wrong.
You guys really have no idea whats really going on here, all this is doing is freaking out other players...

I think jagex done a good enough job of freaking the people out on their own without the help of anyone else, if it was so simple and things are not going to change very much, why can jagex just not come out and say "not a lot is going to change"

They can not do that because as stated by themselves, they can not answer that, so it seems there is a hell of a lot more to this than what jagex want the actual customer to know.

If jagex were in control of this, a simple question like "will people keep their grandfather rates" would be able to be easily answered with a 100% yes of course they will.

Because they can't say either way scouse.

They can speculate, just like the rest of us, but they are along for the ride.

Chief officer turnover is not even completely out of the question.

Hence the no control and not letting us know all

Basically they have sold out to the 1st person that showed an interest and don't care what happens to the game once they have lined their pockets and moved on.

And that goes to their staff also because people will also lose jobs over this.
