Kinda thought, Hey... I'll buy one of those.. but I have a big fro, so I'd have to get a haircut first.. but the barber wanted $35 for the cut.. so I had to make a choice.. decided to head to the pub for a few to think it over.. 5 beers later.. pay my tab.. tip... oops.. no haircut, and no overpriced hat. Money well spent.

In all fairness:

-There's no guthix, V, Tuska, etc. hat because they're all 'dead'. They stated '6th age factions' in the news post. I take it they have to be living during the 6th age.
-No people won't look at you like you're a nerd, ONLY scapers would recognize this.
-I disagree with the price as well but like the mods stated, that's the marketing section and they're marketing through a third party. The third party want to make money as well as jagex, both of them need to profit off of it or it'd be pointless for one or the other to invest in it.

As far as the cosmetic goes, I feel they should make an in-game cosmetic for all factions. If I were to buy a cap it'd be Zamorak or Bandos. I know they won't 'win' this. They lost World Event I & II. In WE III the Godless averaged around 50% of damage done; that's as much as Sara, Zammy and Arma put together. I think it's pretty clear the popularity of the Godless would win this as well. Point being, you'd only be happy with the cosmetic if you want the godless to win.

As a 'compromise', how about making a basic cosmetic that looks like the caps for anyone that buys one with the most popular getting a second cosmetic? (the cosmetic being designed now)
