Honestly, the least that can be done is to add a cosmetic for all 7 and then maybe just make an extra, more extravagant cosmetic for the winner of the popularity contest. Then you get cosmetic for whichever god cap you bought and everyone gets the extra one for the winner.

Wow. I'm not even going to talk about the
absolutely ridiculous price
. Suffice to say this **** is way overpriced.
But dangling an ingame item in front of people's noses as a reward
that hasn't even been designed
yet? Asking people to "pledge their allegiance" to one faction while also telling them that there is
only a 1 in 7 chance
their ingame cosmetic will match the faction they want to represent?
This is a new level of idiocy, even for your marketing team. Whoever came up with this harebrained scheme needs to be fired.
Right now
.
1 in 7 isnt even right. If you pledge your irl money to saradomin or zamorak i wouldnt even say you had a 5% chance. It would be nice if we could get the override without paying for a hat. maybe as a cheaper option on solomons.
Way too pricey for me, especially when you take into account at least $10 in overseas shipping. I would have totally bought one otherwise. Jagex should consider getting a distributor in the US.
I was totally down to buy one of these assuming that they'd be *20-*25, knowing that branded merchandise typically runs high. I don't care if they're limited edition and that you'll get an in-game item; I'm not spending that much on a hat that I'll hardly wear, especially since they're snapbacks rather than fitted.
Doesn't help that there's no concept art of the in-game cosmetic. If it was something I knew I wanted, I might be down to spend that much, but just having to take your word that it will be awesome isn't enough to justify this sales price.
tldr You've failed to get my money, sucks for both of us but mostly for you.
Also, there's a Bandos cap but not a Guthix cap? That's both inconsistent and actively rejecting money. I question your marketing strategies.

We don't have much control over the prices, they're set by our Merchandise Store Provider.
Consider getting a different provider. This one's apparently a ripoff.

However, I've seen the production costs and it's quite high because they're bespoke. They're also fully stitched, and have RuneScape taping in them!
Even if they're fully stitched, the asking price is high. And the taping? Nobody cares about the taping. You literally can't even see the taping when using the hat for its intended purpose; wearing on your head. Most players would prefer their merchandise
without
the source material's logo plastered all over it anyway. If this is a notable contributor to the price, you've wasted your money and the money of the customers who buy these hats.

I can understand that the price is higher than other items but it's a premium item at the end of the day!
>snapbacks
>premium item
Pick one.

I can just see people mistaking the symbols on the hats as being symbols for real world gangs.
Yes indeedy.
For those who might be thinking, "Oh, no way," my daughter got hassled by a school teacher for drawing Homestuck symbols, which are based on more familiar symbols-- Greco-Roman astrological signs.
