Anyone who pays £25 for an item on a game is a **** head.


Seriously, there's no need to offer the item, just sell the caps. If people want them they'll buy them anyway, offering the item means you think people will buy just because of the item. No one is seriously going to buy an item on a game for £25..

If they do, then they clearly need help, and Runescape should be seeking help and offering them support, not feeding their illness.

You can not be in your right mind if you pay that amount of an item for a game character, so to offer this insentive is very unresponsible and is feeding off illness.

I have a couple issues with this, which I think can be easily fixed if Jagex so desires;

1. The price is a bit steep, as many others have mentioned. 35 USD for a hat is a bit ridiculous. For that kind of money I can get so many more worthwhile things. I think about USD 19.99/20 seems much more reasonable, especially when you factor in the costs of shipping.

2. There's no Guthix hat :(

3. The in game cosmetic is decided by whichever faction's hat is the most popular, which doesn't seem quite right. If I was spending 35 dollars for a hat and cosmetic in game item, I'd want that cosmetic item to be exactly what I wanted, and not subjected to the whims of whichever God wins a popularity contest that costs real money to participate in.

Jagex, be honestly, how much is the produce of the hat and how much is the profit you make? hm? you know these hats are like 1$ in the internet, making the logos on it etc. makes max. 5$.

Why do you guys want to scam those people who made JaGex and Runescape to what it is now!

thats like putting suggar on a candybar and wanting 5$ more for it just because it was some more suggar. JaGex is our own Illuminati! /\

We don't have much control over the prices, they're set by our Merchandise Store Provider. However, I've seen the production costs and it's quite high because they're bespoke. They're also fully stitched, and have RuneScape taping in them!

I can understand that the price is higher than other items but it's a premium item at the end of the day!

Wow my wallet is pretty loose at the moment and reading this i was like ok i'm gonna purchase one if it's $10 or even $15 i don't mind but then i read it's $35 for a Cap.. i mean for a Tee that's already expensive but understandable but not for Cap and i don't even wear Caps.

Yeah....that price is way too steep. And I would only be buying it for the in-game item, because I don't wear caps IRL.

So paying $35.00 for an in-game cosmetic that might not even be the one that I want? Ludicrous.
