The dismissive responses that we've seen in this thread (and many others in the forums) are probably what are most likely to lead to me quitting this game. Even moreso than the occasional toxic person who tries scamming me for obscene amounts of money or talking about extraordinarily violent and unsavory topics in public chat. And yes, I'm a big boy capable of handling "bad words."

The problem is the air of "we don't really care too much about what you want or think, just give us more money" that is becoming more pervasive in the collective relationship Jagex has with its customers.

Jagex, just admit you're wrong and fix it. Release a cosmetic for each faction, work on reducing the hat prices, and add a Guthix cap. That would solve this entire dilemma. Of course, the well-reasoned argument that has already been presented multiple times is likely to fall on deaf ears. Just like so many other things (one-week clan cooldown, anyone?)... As many others have said already, $35 is a very hefty asking price for a hat.

That being said, I did order the best hat you have available (Armadyl), so I guess my concerns about the price don't really matter much, heh.

As for no Guthix hat, I can understand it. Guthix doesn't even want to be remembered, so wearing a Guthix hat would be going against his very last request.

I have a problem with the receipt of a "Redeem Code" showing up in my email inbox.
I dislike phishing and this looks like a nice opportunity for a hacker to steal accounts under false pretenses.

I mean I don't see why only one of the factions should get a cosmetic override. It would make far more sense for all of them to, and for players to receive an override based on which hat they bought.

You may as well have said we're getting a Zaros cosmetic override and be done with it.
