I got to page 9 and gave up. I think we get the point that some of us believe the price may be a bit much or whatever but it seriously does not need to be repeated this many times and not with so much hate.

The fact of the matter is these aren't likely to be released again, like the original Zaros Symbol caps or the Chosen Commander Hoodies that came out with the 150th Quest release, making them a collector's item and if it's preserved in a good condition may be worth more in the future for those avid collectors who for whatever reason wasn't able to buy one at the time. And while it is true that you can make copies of the cap on other web-sites, they won't be authentic and any collector that knows their stuff won't touch it with a 50 foot poll.

As for "people who spend money on an in-game item is an idiot", that is your opinion and a hateful comment. I'd rather be an idiot than a closed minded person with bad manners. If you have an issue with something, then write a politely worded complaint like a normal human being. Thank you.

The thing I'd like to request of Jagex is maybe a poll of how many caps are being sold for each faction please? It would be nice to keep track of which is in highest demand and which are going to be the rarer ones. Y'know, for research purposes... :P
I'm Godless although I consider myself Independent/Unaligned I "We create ourselves through life. Every victory, every failure and every lesson learned from them... Make us who we are. Once we have lived life to it's end, that is when we realise who we are... or more accurately, who we were."

The caps aren't that horrid, the price is a bit much but you don't HAVE to buy one. What irks me the most is that it's a popularity contest. As with the god wars, I am disappointed to find out that a company with so many resources at it's fingertips, is reducing itself to an ego boosting competition. I can understand if this type of reward was offered a decade ago, seeing as Jagex had a more limited staff and tools to play around with, but today the company is known world wide, has it's own convention, offices, employees, etc.

My concern is that those dedicated players who spend their days or nights (or both) playing avidly, supporting their faction, will be overshadowed by the few players with the real world wealth to boost their favorite gods numbers by stacking the orders in their favor. What is most disappointing is that I'm not even SLIGHTLY motivated to order prior to the 10th, seeing as some other faction's item will be crammed down my throat because they were more popular than my faction. Why do I need some boo boo in my inventory that i'll never use because 1000 more people were aligned to another faction, or some other equally annoying reason.

My conclusion, the hats are cool, the price could be better, but the in game reward is totally pointless. Yes the majority will be happy because their faction won, but the minority is being ****** on, and that is not how you keep players playing. Never force someone to do something they don't want to, and never play the popularity card. I would highly suggest you get the creative design team together and quickly sketch out possible in game REWARDS for all the factions if you want to retain any sort of respect from the people willingly paying WAY too much for a $10 logo on a *5 hat.

As someone who has spent more than two hundred dollars on a game that is not even out yet I say that the price isn't that bad.
That said, my one and only God is guthix so you get 0 of my dollars today. If you had a guthix one you'd have had my dollars. That is all, good day to you all.

Hey all,

Thanks for the comments on the God Caps.

As Mod Balance mentioned they are premium quality caps, the price has been set by the merchandise store. I can see that some of you have purchased one already which is great! They're really awesome and when it arrives you'll see what we mean by the stitching - it makes such a huge difference to the style of the cap.

We get that you may not want to get the caps straight away, they'll be in store for a while. There is no pressure to buy the caps, we've made them so that you can purchase one if you wish to do so. :)

The decision for these God caps to be made was because we thought they would have been the most popular. The reason Guthix was not included was because he was not a God Faction at the time of production. If you're not into any God in particular, the Godless cap is really nice! Personally I would support Seren and Saradomin but the Godless cap is my personal fave.

We look forward to getting some feedback from those that have ordered the caps too.

How about the complaints of the popularity contest winner being the only faction to get a cosmetic? Are there any plans to make cosmetics for the non-winning factions? Behind the price and lack of Guthix, that seems to be the next most common complaint with this campaign.
