From the other-side, how would you feel if someone registered a name back in 2005-2007 and then never logged in except once every year to keep someone else from getting it?

thats like 5+ year inactivity ,but doesnt the post say that only 6months inactivity can let ur name be taken?

PLEASE implement some kind of skill level immunity. Like, any player with over 1000 skill total is immune to having their name stolen. Otherwise, this is a VERY VERY bad idea. We are struggling enough as it is to have enough players to keep this game running. The last thing we need is for an old member to want to return to the game only to find their name stolen.

I for one have taken leaves of absence from this game that were longer than 2 years at a time. If I ever returned and found my name forcefully taken, there is no way I would have resubscribed and started playing again. You are really ******** yourselves over here Jagex, with very little gain.

A better way to try and make some money would be to simply make ALL name changes require a bond. But don't do this name-stealing crap, PLEASE FOR THE SAKE OF THE FUTURE OF THE GAME. WE NEED TO RETAIN ANY RETURNING MEMBERS THAT WE CAN

ROFL i wont even bother, even though i should. lol yes im going to. 10 year hood and 1/3 xp is dungeoneering...sigh

I say 1000 is a bit low to be an immunity as a lot of players make it there and then stop playing with no intentions of ever returning. I would support a 2000 total immunity though, even though I am not 2000 yet.

Edit: Even then maybe not an immunity, but a more extensive waiting period, maybe 5 years instead of 2?

Firstly no, i'm not mad that I havent sniped a cool name because I never tried to "snipe" one

And like RSB David said... How would you like it if someone had an awesome name since like 2004 and only logged on every 6 months just so nobody else could have the name? And they didn't even play?

So shut up

Why should they get to keep their name if they don't even play when the name could make an active player happy?

WELL IF HE HAS LOGGED IN EVERY 6 MONTHS TO KEEP HIS NAME HE DESERVES RESPECT NOT A BUNCH OF KIDS ON HIS TAIL WAITING FOR HIM TO LOSE HIS NAME,
An irl example of what u people are saying is people waiting for a person to pass away just for his property

How much happiness do u really get by taking some1s name?
