We play for fun. not ranks. I'd take prestige and you can have hiscores however you want them, leave them the same for all we care. Prestige just seems fun to do. I guess you don't understand much of fun, since you seem to come here to a rs forum of all places for your supposed entertainment and laughs. Go outside a little sometime maybe.

Most of those wanting prestige care nothing for the ranks and hiscores, we know the real fun is elsewhere. Lame, elitist people like you denying others fun for no reason is why i cancelled members earlier today. The game will get even more stagnant and rot away soon since people like you seem to be the majority in rs now. Funny how people like you blame jagex for the games decline, but really its only yourselves to blame. Poetic justice lol

I would be fine with a combination of the two, just roll over all post 99 experience into the prestige system, give those who earn it a head start and then completely replace and open up the highscores. I'm real tired of having a fragmented community and the last thing I want to see is an additional fragment in the form of the highscores.
Also, balancing issues shouldn't be ignored either, don't forget that the ultra wealthy prestige rollers will be buying up low and medium level content again - possibly making it extremely hard for actual new players to keep up with them. It might be a double edged sword in that sense, reviving old content for old players, whilst locking out the new.

Of course, I couldn't help but spot the irony of you calling other players selfish, whilst your main argument for the update is that it would give you more ways to play.

If there is so many against it then wouldn't it be safe for the other hiscores?
This update is optional just as much as pking.
The new seasonal hiscores didn't take over, it gave another optional ranking system for a new type of game play that many do not use. Let us vote to remove that too then.
I like how this game gives players the freedom to play the game as they want. I want to use this system as I play, but would be denied the chance because others do not like the style of game play.

Why is it just this content that people can choose? If rs had started voting earlier than less updates would be released because everyone plays the game differently and not many updates would reach 75%. Why now?

Change in resources wouldn't make a difference, many are saying they wouln't use.

Well ppl...as i looked at the poll results it already looks like its over and Jagex wont be implementing this update...theres no way that enough yes's could even change that now...so time to get back to our lives again ppl...Prestige is out...the No's have won!

Only 15k voted? Is that all that plays the game? If so, you are protecting a game that won't last another 6 months. If not, that means 60k to 1 mil players don't care one way or another about prestige.

And if 1 mil players don't care one way or another about prestige, how sad is it a minority of players can effect the game for so many?

Keep on insulting NO voters. The more you insult them, the more NO votes we seem to get.

Sure that sounds good to me actually, since if it works like the prestige system does we can go back to our old banks at any time. Also the majority of no voters are insults to themselves lol
