Uhhh, no? Holiday events, promotional events - all of these are for those who managed to get it, and if you couldn't: too bad. Every one of these have been cosmetic, so no one gets an advantage either way.

But that's not even the case here - everyone can prestige (if they want to) to get a cosmetic reward that does nothing other than looking cool.

People with no life can prestige.

Why are you all obsessed with getting to the top/ worried about how long it will take you to be the top again? What does that prove? That runescape scores is the be all and end all? That you have no life outside of rs?

Enjoy RS as it was meant, as a game - no winners, no losers, just fun to play

Tell me about your 10 yrs. I will raise you 4 more. Only I choose to level the skills that I like. I could have had 200m xp in wc and thieving many times over. After all, I know someone who managed to get to 200m thieving xp in 2 months, yes you heard that right, 2 months. The xp rates in the game today are so laughably high, you really think that getting half those skills to 200mxp takes that long? Getting 99 wc in rsc takes way longer.

Instead, I have made additional characters and chose to grind up from 1 to 99 instead, because it is much more difficult than hanging around doing pp or cutting crystal trees. In fact, I have 3 accounts that have 99s. There really is no point in getting 200m xp, although with prestige you will still get it anyways, because right now, you will just be another number that did it.

There is absolutely nothing in this game that is remotely difficult anymore. Apparently thousands of people would like the chance to relevel their skills again, it saves us having to make more additional accounts that we will play for a while, get to 99, then forget about. Many maxed characters, including Kingduffy, have expressed that they like this idea.

Those gains are made through no-lifing and account sharing, something that is unrealistic to most players. Yes, I'll agree that there are insane experience rates that were unseen 5 years ago, but you're given the option to make a new account, as you've done, to gain those levels the way you wanted to. With prestige you'll just be doing it on your account, with the option to go back to 99 whenever you like.

I don't really care if accomplished players vote yay or nay, I vote the way I want to. I've expressed my opinion over various posts - I've highlighted other opinions that would make Prestige more realistic to current and new players. And my brain just went fuzzy, so I'll leave it at that.

its only a minority of players that want this update anyway
what amazes me is the amount of players who are pro prestige dont even have 99's so they wouldn't be able to prestige anyway and lets face it ,,if you cant get a 99 in 2013 you wont want to get another 26mill to prestige anyway....so i believe votes from people without 99 in at least 1 skill should be disregarded

I understand your point. I've been suing forever 10 years myself, though this account is newer (little over a year and a half). The thing is, with the way this incomplete update would supposedly be, you'll only be affected by it if you choose to be. Oh sure, other players might go beyond 200m exp in a skill. My question to you is this-how, exactly, does that belittle your accomplishment of reaching 200,000,000 exp in a skill?

Because they're sick, they feel the need they have to complete every little thing and be the highest score in every thing also. Then they want people to feel sorry about their condition even though there are far worse things some people have to deal with in life.

Just give them a shiny gold star and tell them they're special. Maybe give them all a number 1 spot on hiscores so they will feel better about themselves. Maybe then they can start thinking about whats good for the game as a whole, and not specific players such as themselves.

Well, that's just rude. I'd like to grab a comp cape of my own someday. Based on what Nattie has said so far, I don't think what you're talkin about is the case here.
