Just let people TRAIN THEIR MAGIC LEVEL, then they will have a way of transportation. If you dont train your magic level, then just walk. Well actually, walking doesnt exist in runescape becuase we have unlimited run energy, so just run.

Success? Let's see:

Currently 82,660 logged into main game
Currently 23,908 logged into old school

I wouldn't say that's a majority of players. That's not even a significant minority - it's only 22.4% of currently logged in players. I guess you could technically call it a success, but only for that minority of players.

I think it was great that Jagex brought back old school runescape, because it gives those players a place to have their old game, while those of us (the majority, according to the numbers above) enjoy the new game with all of the updates and improvements. Like these lodestones, and EOC (My favorite ability has to be omnipower - BOOM! *grin*), and the upcoming RS3.

I really do hope you realize that the 83K odd players logged in includes 07.....

Then you're clearly not using your costume room (non-pet storage), workshop (armor repair), quest hall (quest rewards storage and display) study (telescope for star hunting, book storage), dungeon (safe combat to test out weapons/configurations) and menagerie (pet storage, free pet feeding) to their full potential, and you clearly don't have a guilded altar. And you've clearly not hosted or attended a house party, or used your house for poison curing/stat restoration.

Not to mention POH/construction skill is a good money sink in the game to help the game economy.

But no, it's all about the teleports, and this update is gonna ruin POH. Sure.

Ok, you've got one point. The POH makes space in your bank. Those books alone would take up a lot of space.

In fact, however, the value of the POH has been diminished by loadstones. I haven't made one teletab since loadstones. The only time I use the teleport room is when I'm finished making flatpacks (which, as you know, are totally useless except for getting construction xp).

The point I had made wasn't just about the POH, it's that loadstones make other parts of the game redundant as well.

I doubt it, but if you can prove it, go ahead. Else why have the separate numbers?

And eh. There's always going to be a vocal minority that rages in the forums, for both good reasons (*cough* starborn diamonds *cough*) and bad. It gives a bit of a rose-tinted view of what the community likes and doesn't like, and shouldn't be used to make broad-sweeping statements about things like EoC and the like.

I do remember all the excitement when they announced that EoC was coming, though. Lots of positive reactions. My motto is to be nice if I can, but also to not suffer trolls.

Before lodestones I was thinking myself...
"There's so many teleports, that I no longer need walking."
BEFORE LODESTONES!!!

Then they add lodestones, then no longer you need resting, then MORE LODESTONES!

And people who say "I want lodestones next to..." are noobs/lazy people.
This is crazy. You no longer need shortcuts either. If you add any more lodestones, please remove agility skill, law runes, obstacles, spirit trees, canoe network, gnome gliders, ships and remove ability to walk on game. You don't have to walk. Personaly, I use walking only as a nice emote! (Btw: Runing looks ugly!)

This is becoming like big private server with teleport commands: /lumb /fally /frosts /gwd /corp /ge

And when I think about it, I think WHOLE RUNESCAPE IS PRIVATE SERVER OF ITSELF!
