Ok, you've got one point. The POH makes space in your bank. Those books alone would take up a lot of space.
In fact, however, the value of the POH has been diminished by loadstones. I haven't made one teletab since loadstones. The only time I use the teleport room is when I'm finished making flatpacks (which, as you know, are totally useless except for getting construction xp).
The point I had made wasn't just about the POH, it's that loadstones make other parts of the game redundant as well.
I haven't either, but that's because I buy them, for the most part. (Occasionally I make them, when I can't get them quickly enough from the grand exchange) I use them for going to and from my house not just for flatpacking (since I have completed enough fremmenick tasks, I can add them to the miscellania coffers, which helps offset costs without having to alch them), but also the items I mentioned above. I also use them for other places too, places that already have a lodestone and have had for some time. Which is not to say I don't use lodestones, I do. But again, other teleportation methods are a)quicker and b)can be used during combat. And teletabs will always be useful for taking up only one space in your pack vs multiple spaces for runes.
I use all teleportation methods pretty regularly, to be honest. Yes, even the dwarf carts. I don't find that lodestones are diminishing the game at all.
Frankly, all of the complaints I've seen about this update so far in this thread remind me of nothing so much as hearing older folks complain about how easy kids have it these days. Of the "I walked 10 miles to school every day - in the snow!" variety. I view that kind of complaining the same as the type in this thread - ridiculous. Things change. That's life. And IMO, the game is changing for the better (for the most part).
My motto is to be nice if I can, but also to not suffer trolls.
