As a long time player (7+ years), I refuse to pay for membership. This isn't RuneScape anymore. It's only fair to the old players and those who appreciaited the old system that you release RS2 classic servers (like the RS1 servers) based on 2004-2006 RS. The game in its current state is such a drastic change that it's fair to say it's as big as the jump between RS1 and RS2. Every aspect of the game has changed. The graphics, gameplay, combat system, XP rates, etc. At least put up a referendum like the wilderness poll, or open a beta 2 month server to see how much attention it attracts.

What do you have to lose jagex? If you have to pay membership to use the RS2 servers it's a win win situation as you'll be making the same amount of money as you would if they were paying for the current version of the game. That and you'll have potentially hundreds of thousands of people coming back. Not to mention you'll basically eliminate the RSPS community.

Hello!

I started this game since 2002. It has many good updates till 2007. when wilderness was gone. then the downhill started.

We wanted Runescape stays at it was 2002-2006. We didnt want any big changes to the game. The community WAS awsome. Playing was nice**** was nice, even skilling was nicer and way funnier.

I dont know why did u want to lose over 150k players? "when your too greedy, ull get ****** end".

Runescape was well back 2002-2006. it was enough, but NO u had to make it worse.
I know, my word doesnt change anything.
I just want to say how it was, and i believe many will stand behind my back.

I believe theres such a big number of people standing behind my back on this.
Theres so many people who wants the old good game back.

Runescape was the game itself. It was good when it was runescape.

I truly believe that EoC is the biggest mistake u have ever made. End of runescape.
End of the community it use to be.

I hope (my word wont change anything, but i dont care) That Runescape was 2002-2006 all over again.

Or option 2.
WHY DONT U MAKE A OLDER SERVER FOR OLDER PLAYERS? i cant get it? u'll get like 50k players right back to you guys, or even more than that.

Well... i want to thank you guys for years 2002-2006(well 2007).. it was good run.


Ill be back when theres 2002-2006 server or something like that. or even the hole game would go back in that time when runescape was glowing.

Here I have a solution to the bot problem. REMOVE ******* FREE TRADE AND FLOWERS. God, everyone knows gold farmer bots transfer mounds and mounds of dough to hosters, so to stop the excess cash flowing into the game, set trade limit. Also, EoC honestly wasn't a failure but it was. I mean really it wasn't needed, considering how long the old system worked perfectly ok. The EoC concepts I like are the adrenaline bar, (a few) abilities, like the regen abilities and defensive ones. The special bar could be replaced by adrenaline bar, and add stun abilities and power attacks (like how stamina was used up when power attacking in skyrim) for offense, and freedom as a defensive skill. Everything else really was unnecessary.

So hopefully jagex would consider this. Wouldn't want them to stab us in the back (again) Long live runescape 2001-2012.

P.S. I think you should increase the rarity of lamps and eliminate cash rewards on sof. Also the lamps should, when used, give a you a certain amount of bonus xp multiplier up to a certain amount of xp depending on the size. Also, stop with the sof promotions, and make BXP wknds 2 times a year.
