Just to throw my 2 cents in - Make it our year: give us the old RS back even if on separate dedicated servers with minimal content update. Us "old-timers" who have stuck it out, change after change until the last change with EoC rang a death knell for us are ready and willing to forego our "cheap" grandfathered-in membs rate for a higher amount to be able to continue to play the game we loved.
I was so proud to have made to cb 137, looking forward to utlimately maxxing out at 138. Logging in and finding I'm cb 200, maxxed out without earning it. Cheapened all my hard work, cheapened all the hard work of those who were already cb 138.
Make it our year: reward hard work, don't give everyone a ribbon just for participating.
Make it our year: listen to the voice of the people as a whole - you say you value fansite input. Fansite input has often said X change was not well received, yet that input was ignored.
Make it our year: do something about the website advertising spammers. Send a mod to w70, stand at the Burthorpe bank chest...watch them stream out of the training area, bot after bot after bot after bot. Let us be able to keep chat open to other than friends only so we are not inundated with advertising spam. Truly, make it our year.

Don't bring back trade restrictions. Put a button on the report interface for RWT and gold farming. I am indeed tired of getting PMed by RWT advertisers (I have no idea where they all get my username. My ignore list contains probably about 150 names now.), but trade restrictions punish everyone for something only a few people are doing. If there was a 'real-world trading' button on the report interface, and if punishments were administered for that, I think the problem would shrink significantly. Trade restrictions would end it, but they would end a lot of good things as well.

Hey all. Im realy looking forward ta 2013. I just think the game would be better if there are more free player quests. I love quests and hav have completed all free player quests, so i would quite like it if u can create some more plz :D . Quests is one the reasons i play runescape lol. This is just a suggestion btw. Thank u 4 makin Runescape a beta place!!

Well said ^_^ i am very glad you notice that you had way to many promotions.
And good luck on stopping those bots , i am dying to see blue dragons free of bots.
Lastly , When are you guys going to give some hints for the new skills?

Please bring back the old runescape that I used to play back in 2007-2009 I will gladly add my credit card back on If we could have double servers or just a older version. I quit runescape before eoc came out because It wasn't the same. Please take this into consideration.

Thank you so much for this open and engaging post. I want to particularly thank you for apologizing for the way that the introduction of microtransactions was handled. I was one of the players who was teeth-grindingly frustrated when the Squeal of Fortune began selling spins, and when no satisfactory explanation was forthcoming, I cancelled my membership of 6 years. It grieved me to do so, and I had earnestly hoped for exactly the sort of post that you have now made. I really wanted an excuse to renew my membership and keep playing. If I had read these words back in April of last year, I would have probably stayed with Runescape.

For me, though, it is honestly too little, too late. I stopped playing with any regularity months ago, and my addiction to this complex and fascinating game slowly ebbed away. I hardly ever check even on this website any longer - when I did so today I was very pleased to find and read this post.

Although I don't anticipate re-joining the game, I do wish you well in your endeavors. I hope that you continue this sort of open communication with the players. If it had been this way all along, I think you would have been able to hang on to me along with lots of other players who left the game in the wake of the events of last year.
