No, they did a lot of coding and beta testing BEFORE they ever asked us if we wanted it or not and by that time it didn't matter to them whether we wanted it or not, their minds were made up that we were going to get it and like it or lump it. That is why they conducted the survey in the manner they did, to get the biased opinion. They even interpreted the feedback incorrectly to show overwhelming support.

I like it so far, but can't yet be sure = 19.14% does NOT mean "I love it as it stands please add it right away" and it also does not mean "I prefer it to the old system, please add it to the game",

It's OK, but needs improvement = 14.31% only means IF you are going to add it make sure you make it better first, it does NOT mean "I prefer it to the old system, please add it to the game"

I like both the new and the old systems = 25.97% means the person has NO PREFERENCE It does NOT mean they prefer it over the older combat style, it does NOT mean they prefer the older style over the newer style, it is COMPLETELY NEUTRAL.

I don't do combat, so have no opinion = 0.66% 100% COMPLETELY NEUTRAL.

Jagex claimed Over 80% preferred the EoC to the old style, to get that figure you MUST add ALL but the I don't like it = 19.62% option otherwise you won't get over 80%. Now if you look at the way I described the non-positive/non-negative options assuming I am, not mis-interpreting them, they DO NOT mean they favoured the new over the old, it only meant that they were willing to consider giving it a try if Jagex chose to add it to game with the caveat that Jagex fixes it first (which we all know Jagex *id*'t and they are still trying to fix it to this day several months after they crammed it down our throats).

Please feel free to point out any flaws in my "data" if you find any but I doubt any will. Pro-EoC or anti-EoC, we can all agree EoC wasn't ready and that Jagex f'ed up good rushing it.

HAHAHA!!! listen to players for a change? Ha! good one! But seriously jagex you're going to have to really commit if you want to prove most of us wrong. First of all, you REALLY need to get this "Old is a pathetic waste of air! New>old ALL THE TIME!" and avoid responding to complaints like "Oh! You're just nostalgic! you actually liked that pathetic excuse for a combat system? GET OUT OF MY SIGHT! Look, sorry I kinda flipped out, but this is serious! I know you worked really hard on the EoC and weapon changes, but frankly, it turns out people liked the old combat system, I know there's those who like this system; but the player count went really down, so do yourselves and your money a huge favour, and simply make a NEUTRAL survey (Q: Should the EoC stay? A: Yes and No, not Q: Should they EoC stay? A: Yes, I don't know yet, and why would you even consider going back to the old system?) But enough EoC rants; I want to discuss gambling again. Disclaimer: I don't mind drop parties at the falador party room, or no admittance fee guess the emote games. I can only think of a few options, one just simply say NO GAMBLING and explain that games without a fee are okay, *Sigh* What one would cause the player count to go down further, remove free trade, and lastly *Sigh* actually PATRONISE gambling and make a portal to a casino, where games are pre-set up. *I know I suggested it but I advise not choosing option three if the 3 choices were mandatory, because many players are -18, and I don't want to be root for underage gambling addiction. Then again, maybe we can do what we do already. Simply report people who are advertising automatically for gambling hosts. I'd love to see those bots go, even Zamorak hates these unholy beings we call bot advertisers

p.s: That reminds me of another flaw in the reporting plan; many people make accounts that are SUPPOSED to get banned. You're right jagex, making a descision certainly isn't easy.

ALLRIGHT PEOPLE, enoughe with the Negative. dont just underastemate the time n hard work it cotsts jagex to refine gameplay. n as for the gamblin yeh yeh i know -.- jagex says one thing n does the next. fact is u DONT have to particepate in micro financing or gambling,.still is own choice, n then another thing jagex does need money for improving as real life people are working arround the clock to improve. so yh, dont complain unless u think you can do it better yourself ( lol i know but still) ^_^

It gave me a piece of trust in Jagex back.

lets just hope that doessent turn out to be for nothing tho.

i know you still got alot of work to do, and im quite positive about EOC after handling it for a while. its actually fun now after Armour and Npc Rebalance.

tho im still not keen on the High level and Value gear... but if it kinda stays this way..( rebalance n such) ill be happy enoughe.

Judging just by what we see in this thread alone you can already tell that their promises are nothing more than mere words. There hasn't been a J-mod post since before page 20 if I recall correctly which means they are already failing to communicate with their "community" and this just a couple days after promising better communications? Doesn't bode well in my books.

Sorry, I read your posts and I agree with your un-biased opinions 100%. I just lost focus while reading further and seeing others bashing on those that don't like it by claiming they haven't given EoC a chance and I felt the need to address those first and forgot to comment on yours.
